There are five pillars to the Islamic faith.
They are:
1) Faith or belief in the Oneness of G-d and the finality of the
prophethood of Muhammad.
2) Establishment of the daily prayers;
3) Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
4) Self-purification through fasting; and
5) The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.
If you read them over and really look into them, they are not much different from the various aspects of Christian or Jewish religions. They are all basically improvement of self and helping others and putting G-d before all. The words may be different but the ideas are generally the same.

Lets see.....
Five Pillars of Islam.
Six pillars of Iman.
Then one has to remove the nafs (evil desires).
Then one has to remove the nafs ammara (The seven base desires).
Seems as if there is a lot to learn about Islam!
Then one has to know oneself!
Then one will be called a good child!
Then ones heart melts and finally surrenders to Allah (SWT).
"May our hearts melt"
Alhamdulillah
In sha' Allah
