It depends exactly what you mean rude. The reality is that not everyone we encounter has any people skills what so ever and we interpret that as rude. It's a poor excuse but some of these people whom conduct interview are mentally disturbed. Use your best judgment and determine if you want to put yourself through that nightmare. Think about it this way, if you feel that at the end of day working with this clown you going to be bringing home unnecessary stress that is going to effect your social life why even bother.

No, I have not had that experience during an interview, but if I did, I would never take a job from a rude employer. If they're rude during the interview, just imagine how they'll be once you're hired? Yikes.

Yes, on a phone interview someone told me, "I don't know why you sent us your resume you are overqualified for this position." He said it in a tone that was like, "You are wasting my time" to which I replied, "Then why did you schedule a phone interview with me if my resume didn't match what you were looking for?" Needless to say it was a short phone call. That particular company had contacted me again about another position but I flat out refused to talk to them and just sent them an e-mail stating that due to my last experience interviewing for them, I really had no desire to work for them. If the interview is not going well then that is an indication that you won't be a right fit.

Never has happened, but since I'd bet it would be a sample of what the job would be like, I sure wouldn't take the job.
