the kid really doesn't want to? The kid feels like he is the black sheep when he goes over there. If you ask the other sibling about how he gets treated they all say that it is true. I ask if he acts bad over there and they say Nope! I have tried to talk with the Ex and it seems to go through one ear out the other ear.

If you have joint custody mandated by the court he has to go whether he likes it or not. You are the one that will be in trouble if you break that agreement. If there is no custody agreement then it's up to him to talk to his dad.

At 14, the child is old enough to decide if he wants to go, or not. If the ex has a problem with this, contact your lawyer to petition the court to have court-ordered visitation stopped. The ex could turn around and say if he doesn't get to visit with his son, then he shouldn't have to pay support, but most judges won't go along with that. Good luck!

Go back to court and get the visitation changed. At 14 the judge will let the children have a say in the matter.

If the custody papers say he has to go then he has to go. If you don't abide by the custody papers then your ex can take you to court for violation and you could possibly lose custody. Best thing to do is talk to your attorney to see about getting visitation amended.

at 14, i'd think a child has his or her own option to visit whomever they want, or not.

maybe you could make an appointment with an attorney or paralegal who practices family law for a consultation?

take care.
