You have to be careful because some people will look askance at the age difference. Is she married ,single, divorced? The answer to that will also determine your tack.

I would ask her out, in person or on the phone. She might not think of it as a date, but during your outing (dinner, lunch, coffee?) you can tell her how you feel. She probably has quite a bit of experience with relationships, so you don't have to be afraid of being direct. She might not take you seriously at first, so be patient and keep your tone, and conversation light-hearted. She might take some persuading that dating a younger man is a good idea. If she's open-minded she'll quickly see the advantages.

A caveat: Do you see this as a long term relationship or a fling? You should probably be honest with her about your intentions, because the stakes are a higher for her. She doesn't have as much time as you do to recover from a broken heart. Again, this also depends on if she's been married before, and if her ex is around, etc.

I've been approached by someone 15 yrs younger than me. Unfortunately, we just didn't "click" as his maturity level wasn't the same as mine. I've recently met a man 10yrs younger than me & so far, I see a bright & charming man. Age is definately a #... It's about "quality." All you have to do is TRY & make sure she doesn't feel that age is a factor. Be yourself, do not try to impress her... Let her get to know YOU for who you are! And instead of being point blank right up front saying "I want you", maybe try asking her out. Those of us with a bit more experience have a tendency to know who is for real & who is there to play a game or put a mark on a score card! If she likes you & wants to pursue something with you... she'll let you know.

Well I never had a 40 year old, but im 23 also and i talked to a few 30 somthings. And the ones i talked to werent really into any games or anything, just let them know what you want, they let you know what they want. Thats one thing I like about older women :)

43? are you sure she isnt married and doesnt have kids? Is she comfortable with being with such a young man? Are you comfortable with her? If so, just tell her how you feel! :)

Just tell her you want her, she'll probably jump at the opportunity. You're both adults, with nothing to lose. Do her!
