The fast lane is really the passing lane. We should all be in the slow lane unless we are over taking the car in front of us.

I would like to see the police ticket these people and have them retake their driving test. Then maybe they would realize that they are not driving properly or they will lose their license and then they can take the bus.

good luck.

I'm not sure about other states, but here in Michigan (particularly on US-23) the speed limit is 70, but 60 for trucks. They go 'slow' in the left lane while passing trucks, but slowing up speeders.

Other than that, I have no idea. It really freakin' irritates me.

Maybe you shouldn't call it the fastlane, but the passing lane like
Fordman says, or my motto, " KEEP UP OR GET OVER" It's a courtesy to not hold up the passing lane, you never know when a CHP is going to come up behind you doing 100mph !

This annoys the crap out of me.
I think:
a) Cos they're bad drivers since they dont look in the rear view mirror
b) They drive a fancy car and think its their right
c) They're control freaks, if I cant drive faster than a 100 than neither can you.

grrrrr

It makes driving actually more dangerous as you have to switch lanes to overtake!

If I'm goin' the speed limit, why should I not be in either lane I want? You're not allowed to go faster than I'm goin'.

Dunno what you mean by "slow". If someone is going at the speed limit, they can be in any lane they want. You can't be going faster anyway.
