I've always wondered the same thing. And then these Christians say it's a test? How cruel is that? He puts this devil here and watches what we do, then if we praise the devil he sends us to hell for something he provoked us with, and knew ahead of time that we would do it because God knows all!
How can you fall for the illogical beliefs of religion?

Very easy question! The answer is that god/gods do not exist. People throughout time have believed in something higher, it is human nature. The sheer number of religions around today actually prove that they are not fact as they cannot all be right. Also how many hundreds of religions have come and gone through the millenia?? Many have started and been forgotten about so this then adds to the huge list. Remember no matter what brainwashed people tell you belief is not fact.
Religions are also very contradictory when confronted with questions they cannot answer for instance; When someone survives against all the odds they will often say after that they prayed to god and god saved them. Why do people forget that the people that suffered and died in the same incident may well have also prayed to god but died.
Also if you are a part of any religion i urge you too look at the history of that religion before you follow it. For example, thousands of women, children and men were brutally tortured and put to death during the spanish inquisition all in the name of christianity, granted it was catholic at the time but still the same jesus and the same god. Why would you want to be a part of that? It would be the same as being a nazi in this day and age and condoning what they did.
Ditch religion and start helping your fellow man! If everyone did this the world would be a better place. Too many people have suffered and died and too many wars fought all in the name of god and religion. Why do people not see religion in ANY form for what it really is? An excuse to be selfish
Hope this has enlightened you

It's an element of Roman Catholic theology that the soul is indestructible. Weird though this may seem, there are points at which God's omnipotence could be exercised only by annihilating the universe and starting over. The fact that God does not annihilate the universe is the underpinning of why two of His titles are "the Compassionate" and "the Merciful."
And says who that Blackwater, Halliburton, and Cheney are anything but minions of darkness? Satan's got a whole universe to corrupt; this one measly planet is quite suitable to being put through hell by Cheney and his tools.

Sometimes being powerful, means to do nothing at all because entities have to learn their lessons the hard way, by themselves. It take more courage and strength to do nothing at all to help someone than it does to destroy or to fix them. God is not jealous that's a lie people tell to bring God down to their level. When Christ was born all the phrophicies of the Old Testament were filled, the ot passed away, and the new testament became our true Bible. In there it does not bring God down to our level, yet people still underestimate the grandness of God, like we can even understand! I believe that Satan is still loved by God. He can choose to change, he has that option always until the end. Just as we, God's other children can.
Blessed Be

The very fact that humans cannot understand this shows that God and Satan are not something made up by man.
Those who know who God is, know that Satan has only a limited time. It may be too long for humans but only the time it takes to blink for an eternal God.
The question of truth and error is not settled by force but by allowing them to prove themselves over a period of time.

The issue raised in the Garden of Eden was one of Universal Sovereignty. Who has the right to rule!
Can mankind rule itself?
We have had 6,000 years to prove that the answer is NO.
Has Satan done a better job than Jehovah?
No! Our first parents were removed for their lack of faithfulness and integrity.
Jesus came to the earth to prove that a perfect man can keep his integrity under trial and many imperfect men and women have done the same.
Proving that they are on Jehovah's side of this universal issue and look forward to the day when Jehovah will undo all that Satan has done.
We only have a few details left of some of the scriptures to be fulfilled before Jehovah's name is Sanctified once and for all.
Will you be there when it's all over?

At the risk of sounding flippant, why not? For what reason or reasons should God have not created the devil even if he was going to fall? Just because God knows what will happen doesn't mean that the person (angel) isn't free to make choices. Satan freely chose to rebel against God. God knew this would happen. Nevertheless, let me offer some possible reasons why God would create Satan even though He knew he would fall and rebel.
It was necessary to have the fall so that God could then have a reason to die for our sins thereby demonstrating that God can and does provide the greatest act of love which is to lay ones life down for his friend (John 15:13).
The fall of Satan provides yet another method for God to be glorified in that God can use sin to prove that sin is "bad" and that God's word about righteousness is true.
If God is to have creatures with free will, then the risk of rebellion is part of that freedom. Satan had that freedom and used it to rebel.
If God had not created Satan and instead another angel fell, then we'd be asking why God made that angel knowing he would fall.
God has reasons that we simply do not know about.
I know my children will act badly at times, but knowing that does not mean mean that I shouldn’t have kids. Part of the risk of freedom is that rebellion will be a reality.

He will. However, being the embodiedment of justice, he can't just ignore the question raised by Satan in the garden of Eden and later in the book of Job. Satan claimed that humans could set the standard of what was right and what was wrong and be gods themselves. Millions of angels witnessed this argument. God is just showing all his creation what happens when humans are gods themselves. When he has proven that this situation sucks the big one beyond a doubt, he will liquidate Satan in an symbolic lake of fire etc.

Read Revelation chapter 12. God, through his son Christ Jesus, has already taken the first steps toward eliminating Satan and his demons. The final elimination will come in God's due time and it benefits mankind the most. Our lifespan is seriously limited. God looks at what's best for ALL humanity.
PS: Hell doesn't exist, not as a burning place of eternal torment anyways.
