Yes; it's happened to me twice this evening. Give it a few minutes and your contacts will be back. Freaked me out, too!

This happens from time to time, it's one more glitch. I just woke up and found out that many of my contacts were not showing as contacts, when I saw their avatars at a question, or at one of their answers, but they remained at my list

The team were taking a coffee break so the gremlins came out to play. Check now, everything seems back to normal over here.....

no... but their are some other problems in Yahoo,just like this... sometimes I see in my contact that their is other contact/s that I never add in my contact.... Well I'm really confused of that...

No, but a little while ago, Y!A was taking one of their coffee breaks, so that might have something to do with it.
