Paul said:
Hebrews 5:7 “During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.”
Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face with loud cries and petitions? Was it himself? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to “the only true God.” Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?
The Quran confirms that Jesus called for the worship of the Only True God:
“Truly, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (alone). This is the straight path.” (Quran 3:51)
Bible says that God made Jesus “Lord”
Acts 2:36 “God has made this Jesus... both Lord and Christ.”
“Lord” is used in many ways in the Bible, and others beside God and Jesus are called “Lord.” For example:
1) property owners (Matt. 20:8)
2) heads of households (Mk 13:35)
3) slave owners (Matt. 10:24)
4) husbands (1 Pet. 3:6)
5) a son called his father Lord (Matt. 21:30)
6) the Roman Emperor was called Lord (Acts 25:26)
7) Roman authorities were called Lord (Matt. 27:63)
“Lord” is not the same as “God.” “Lord” (the Greek word is kurios) is a masculine title of respect and nobility used many times in the Bible. If Jesus were God, then for the Bible to say he was “made” Lord would make no sense.
24. Bible says that Jesus was lower than angels
Hebrews 2:9 “But we do see him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus.”
God, the Creator of angels, can not be lower than His own creation, but Jesus was. Therefore, Jesus was not God.
25. Bible says that Jesus called the Father “my God”
Matt. 27:46 “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?”
John 20:17 “I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.”
Rev. 3:12 “… the temple of my God… the name of my God… the city of my God… comes down out of heaven from my God.”
Jesus did not think of himself as God, instead Jesus’ God is the same as ours.
26. Bible says that God cannot be seen, but Jesus was
John 1:18 “no man has seen God at any time.”
Thats clear jesus was a prophet of god

It's really important that our understanding of God doesn't come from our own heads (in the same way our understanding of the moon shouldn't be made up in our heads) but rather is built on what he's told and shown us in the Bible. Otherwise we're going to end up with a made up God. God is a paradox that can't fully fit in our heads - but I'm ok with that because God is bigger than my head. At the same time though it's pretty easy to outline the bible's view of God. Three points: - There is 1 God - The Son is God, the Father is God, the Holy Spirit is God - The Son is NOT the Father, the Father is NOT the Holy Spirit, and the HS is NOT the Son. There is 1 God (Deut 6:4 and Mark 12:29 - 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.') The Son is God - John 10:27: (jesus speaking) " 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.' The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, 'I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?; The Jews answered him, 'It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.' " Heaps of others too as someone else has posted. the Father is God - Mark, etc :p the Holy Spirit is God - Jn 4:24 'God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth'. Or 2 Cor 3:17 'Now the Lord is the Spirit,..' 3 distinct beings, 1 God. It's important to point out that the distinctions are not in their value but in their relationship to each other (they even call each other 'Father', 'Son' and 'Spirit')! The Son is obedient to the Father, the Father glorifies the Son and the Spirit works pointing people to Jesus. This is a good passage for seeing these dynamics going in: John 8:12-59 (note the people's reaction at the end to Jesus' 'I AM' statement - they recognise what he's saying.) Biblical Christianity says that the Son is God, the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and that this is the way it has always been. Hard to understand, but this is the God of the bible. The reason I believe this is because God verified it by raising Jesus from the dead! That is the real cornerstone and foundation of my belief :) Cheers, Peter

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Yes. Jesus was a man, but is in Glory with God the Father. Father has given authority to Jesus to forgive sin, heal the sick, raise the dead and also to judge the world in the end. Thats why we can talk to Him. And also Jesus explains about this in John 14.

John 14:5 says, "Thomas said to Him,'Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?'" on verse 6, Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If yo really know me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him."
okay, verse 8, Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
verse 9, Jesus answered: "Dont you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
it has been proved that the Father was working with Jesus. if you read the remaining of the verses, it will be well cleared. if it doesnt make sense to you, think about the beginning. God created the earth out of nothing. can it be explainable? no. why? because He is God. and if we can explain God, He would not be God but just be like us.

Jesus was/ is both God *and* man. He was/ is both. here are some scriptures that demonstrate His godliness. the thing is, you have to recieve the Holy Spirit before you can understand these things.
''thomas said to Him [Jesus], 'my Lord and my God!' '' john 20:28
''from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised!'' rom. 9:5
''He [Jesus] is true God and eternal life.'' 1 john 5:20
''in the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He [Jesus] was with God in the beginning.'' john 1:1
''Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.'' heb. 13:8
''all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me [Jesus].'' matt. 28:18
''Lord [Jesus], You know all things.'' john 21:17
''beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He [Jesus] appeared in a body.'' 1 tim. 3:16
if you would like to see more, ask me to show you in the details to your question. i probably have another ten or so that i can think of right now.

No offense intended. I say sorry before you read this, if you get offended. Because, I respect people's values and belief. But this is just my opinion:
Should be true. He should be a prophet/human, not GOD! GOD is such a big word to be used for humans. I doubt if GOD would have appeared on the earth to preach. He is the big boss, and he sends his followers as prophets to preach people. God is God! No comparisons between man and GOD, please. There is no birth or death for GOD.

It is clear from the Bible that Jesus is Gods firstborn of all creation , his only begotten son.
The idea of Jesus being God is from the trinity doctrine and this is not found in the Bible.
Rather it is a unChristian teaching from pagan sources and is not to be followed by true Christians today.
Additionally your last comment ¨God is not a man, but Jesus, may God praise him, was a man¨ is wrong.
Jesus praises God , God does not praise Jesus. !

Philippians 2:6
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man.
He is a member of the Godhead consisting of God the Father, God the Son , and God the Holy Spirit.
He said, "if you have seen ME, you have seen the Father."
He said, "I and the Father are ONE."
He died for your sins as God manifested in the flesh.
You have taken scripture OUT of context to try and prove an unproveable point that scripture itself proves differently.
Taking bible verses at random as you have done is irresponsible Bible Study.
Here are three verses from the bible, and when I put them together, it makes a good case for goin out and hanging oneself, but its NOT true because I didnt handle it the way scripture is to be handled. ALWAYS read IN CONTEXT to find the real meaning of Gods Word.
"Judas went out and hanged himself."
"Go thou and do likewise..."
"Whatsoever you do, do it QUICKLY."
See how foolish this is? You can foolishly prove YOUR point on any issue by being intellectually and spiritually dishonest with what the scripture is actually teaching.
Jesus WAS God. If He wasnt who He claimed to be then we are all in deep do do.
