Is there any way i can retrieve it back...? any softwares that can help me retrieve deleted files on a poertable drive...?

it can restore files from MC and SD cards.

Assuming your talking about stuff that was on a flash card, and that you typically transfer to the pc via a usb connector to the camera or a card reader, so that the flash card appears on the pc as if it were a hard drive?
You could try using a free undelete program, of which there are several available on the web. Google "undelete."
No idea if it would work, but well worth a try.

I presume you have used some program to copy or move the pics from your camera card to your PC ? Either use the same program and COPY from your PC to your camera card or use a card reader attached to your USB and again COPY from PC to card.
