what is the meaning of this medical term: Llieocaecal junction?
My friend has this medical term in his medical report which he found it not understandable. Please help.

1. point along the course of the gastrointestinal tract where the small intestine (ileum) ends as it opens into the cecal portion of the large intestine; occurs usually within the iliac fossa, demarcated internally as the ileocecal orifice.

I'm not surprised you didn't understand it-you've got the spelling wrong! Its ileocaecal junction, and its part of your digestive system. The ileocaecal junction is situated in lower right abdomen, in the small intestine where your appendix is-and to find your appendix you put your thumb on your naval, spread your hand out and where little finger is that is McBurneys Point-where your appendix is. Obviously he has a problem there, possibly appendicitis or diverticulitis [inflammation/infection]. OK

It was spelt wrong which is probably why u couldn't find anything on it

What it probably said was 'ileocaecal junction'. Go to a search engine as there is so much info, you'd probably be better reading it for yourself.
