Yes and no. I'm 6'3'' and have pretty big hands and I can shoot it pretty well. My fiance, on the other hand, is quite a bit smaller than me and has trouble getting a good grip on the gun. You can always get a different grip for the gun.

There is no difference in the size of the grip on the Taurus from any other 1911 style gun. If the 1911 grip is too large you should consider one of the polymer framed guns. The plastic grip is usually much smaller.

I think it is. I instruct a mixed Combat Pistol Team for 15 years that includes 4 women and even they don't seem to have any problems handling the Taurus PT 1911 or the Colt 1911's I've let them shoot and compete with. Rarely is someones hands too small (male or female) that they can't shoot a 1911 comfortably.....I think it's up to personal like or dis- like, not ability. If you convince yourself you can't handle it..then you won't.......

I think the 1911 is one of the most comfortable pistols to shoot, the Taurus is no exception! I own one, and I have short fingers and chubby hands. The gun just fits!

They fit in my hand like any other 1911 i have held. Both with stock grips and after market grips.

I shoot a Colt,and the gun size and grip is confortable for most people.
