Some says it is okay to burn leaves for leaves doesn't contain CFC which can cause damage to our ozone layer. But some says that it is not, because it cuses pollution. What do you think?

If you let them lie then they will eventually turn to dirt and make your yard thicker. or you can make a compose bed in your yard at the far end and you can use it for potty soil when it turns there are many uses for it. its not good to burn cause of pollution they are right. so many uses and its good for the yard. take care

To be honest.. is anything advisable? It really is up to you in this situation. Check with your local laws. If you burn, watch at all times. It's not the greatest for the environment... but being who we are, we're not very good for the environment. I would certainly suggest compost as you get to reuse the earth. It's great for growing and such. Do what you think is the best!

Definitely not advisable in my community as it will get you and expensive ticket.
Burning of leaves while not as toxic to the environment as burning of some other materials (plastics etc,) does create particulates in the air that can make problems for asthmatics and build up in the lungs.
It is more environmentally sound to shred and mulch leaves - they can then be composed or used for mulch - and in that way recapture the biological energy in the leaves rather than send it up in smoke.

compost them they are more beneficial as compost for your garden
