Cappuccino is named for the Cappucin monks who invented the process of brewing with steamed milk. Mocha was named for a place in Yemen that roasted coffee beans to produce a deep, almost chocolate flavor. Latte just means "milk" in Italian

Those answer are correct as these drinks all originated either in Italy or France, but the names of the coffees around the world are based on the areas they are grown, it originate in Africa and the plant was taken around the world to harvest in temperate humid counrtys, it like warm days and cool night most reason why it is grown in mountianous regions of the world.
So when you see arabica, it is the variety not the region it is growm, but one labelled Sumatran is grown in the area in Indonesia it is named for, the robusta the cheaper cousin of arabica is the most widely grown variety around the world now.

Its marketing crap.
Coffee is best known by where the beans come from.
Most coffee shops sell you a "Blended" coffee, if you bought your own ground coffee as I do, you will know which ones are rich, bitter, strong in flavour.
If I'M out and have coffee, I go to Nero as they do a nice filter blend which has full flavour, nice aroma and substance unlike the homogenised sh*te that Starbucks peddle.
For what I call a breakfast coffee, Massarellas do a nice filter coffee that doesn't leave any nasty bitter after taste unlike some coffee shops filter coffee leaves.

Adam B has got it right.... everything else you hear / invented (by the big coffee house chains) are all play on words - Italian and non - and so therefore invented to be able to sell you a "Frappuccino" (frappe / cappuccino).
