Please read mark chapter 9 v38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

They were other people who believed in the name of jesus but the disciples thought they should have received the authority to exorcise from Christ Himself, as they did. Out of holy zeal, they tried to prevent others from using the power of Christ to cast out devils (Luke 9:49-50). Christ made them see it is not the minister that casts out the devils, but the power of Christ that works through them.

You have it a bit wrong.
no one could 'cast out' demons...from people...until Jesus gave the the power that Jesus himself had received from his Father in heaven, Jehovah God.
God's power is the Holy Spirit, not a person, but power that God dispenses.
Jesus prayed for it all the time...and it was granted.
Look at what Jesus says here;
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

Jesus never said that. He said anyone that isn't of God is against God, that's a big difference. With your version an atheist that isn't against Jesus is with us, no no no, that's not what Jesus says

who made up the story . it's not admissible in a courtroom because it's hearsay and fable is only as good as the one who takes it for what it's worth.

it really reads a lot like a turgid supernatural soap opera ....
