Have 2.
Siamese, coz more like 1/2 cat/1/2 dog,.. so vocal and smart.
And, a plain rescued "alley cat", coz so very grateful and shows it and also a nice surprise on what personality develops.

I love the look of Siamese cats and Himalayan cats, although their meow can be a bit grating. Both have good personalities, though. Ragdolls and Ragamuffins are quite beautiful, very robust and have great personalities. Bengals are lovely too. As far as markings go, colour points are always beautiful. Exotic-looking cats are very pretty too, such as the leopard-like markings on Bengals and Ocicats. Grey, brown, etc. tabbies are cute, though I'm not partial to red/orange tabbies. I'm sure they're lovely to have around, but I've never liked the look of Abyssinian and Burmese cats. Same goes for Rexes and Laperms. Oh, and hairless cats = not my thing. I've heard that they're very sweet and loving, though. Some Persians are adorable, others... not so much. Depends on the colouring/markings.

I have been owned by 2 breeds over the years, Siamese and Bengal! Both breeds are domaneering and bossy! The siamese in a sly and feminine way, the bengal a bull in a china shop way! Both destructive, the siamese would vandalise for attention the bengal because he wasn't getting his own way! As for TLC the siamese would have you pinned down all day and the bengal only if I had been good!
On the whole both breeds are great, the Bengal more hard work as he is a "dog-cat", body of a cat brain of a dog! But I'd vote BENGAL.

If you mean purebred cats, I vote for Scottish Folds. If you mean ordinary household cats, I like the domestic longhair. I had a grey one with white feet and green eyes that was the sweetest cat ever. He was the cat with dog manners and everybody loved him. He died of old age, but was otherwise healthy all his life.

British shorthair and Ragdoll. Had a British shorthair for 16 years and currently have a Ragdoll. Both have such an easy going temperment and are very loving.

I'd love to have a Pixie-bob, they're rare here in the U. K but quite common in the U.S. Or, a Tonkinese.
I have three rescue moggies and as I don't believe in buying pets from breeders I'm unlikely to have either.
