She might have been sincere and rewarding you for losing the weight. If you feel there's more you can gently nudge it into a date, but I wouldn't take her compliments as anything more than nice.

Dismiss any compliments as signs of flirting when you have lost weight. Its some sort of stigma that people feel the urge to compliment people who used to be overweight.
This puts into question what was the reason you lost weight. Did you do it for people compliments, or your own well being.

She may have said so because you finally cleaned that spaghetti sauce off your face and hairline that was stuck to you for the past month.
IF you want to test the waters properly, take her to a movie and get a bucket of popcorn. Pop a hole in the bottom and be creative. DONT ADD SALT to the popcorn!

definately not. now adays girls are much more cunning then you guys. at times we do something for a reasons. like for my case. i happen to fall for this guy whom always chill at this one place almost everynight with his friends. i started out this planned bcoz' he's acting as if he's nt interested in me while the others are trying real hard to woo me. so.. i started all that fake praises n cmpliments. n voices out all those things they wear n did. trying to show hw observant i am. i talked to almost all of them. my intensions is 1. n that is to get his attention. but sorry to say. the moment he's 'into' me. the next thing i knew i shouldn't be doing this anymore...

She may really be into you or not... so take it slow... ask her out and find out.
Have fun in any case...and play the dating game.
Cheers
