IF YOU OWNED A PUB?what theme would it have?

Since it is generally forbidden to enter a pub with your pet, I'd make one where pets are more than welcomed. I'd probably organize a pet corner or something, hire personnel who is trained in dealing with pets and would entertain them or take care of them while the owners are having a drink and chilling out....
As for the theme... I'd probably talk to a designer and ask him for suggestions, taking into account the final purpose of the pub: to serve customers with pets...

well thats a hard one. you either want to appeal to every one or a select group. over in the Finland/ Romania there is actualy a ice bar,(spotlighted real fast in the last episode of viva la bam.) id try to mimic some thing from ibiza. mind you a smoke house/ brew your own would work.
id love to see a Dotism styled place like M.C. Escher's Relativity. the beach idea would be also awsome. have a fake ocean laping at the waves, a firepit. set the bar in a trailer.like it was owned by a beach bum. set op a few volly ball courts. this could work.
personaly id have huge lava lamps as part of the tables (mind you this would lower the ability to converse so is flawed. or id have 6 feet of water stocked with koi. and you would be floating in boats docked. or ai duild a meal and a show style bar.
but persolaly the urinals would be open mouths (a bar in the uk had these and got bitched at.
i know im reiterating some prevous ideas but the were not planed out to fully.

My pub would be very music orientated with live bands playing in the evenings. It would double as a karaoke pub where people could sing along to the background music using the mic from behind the bar (as I did in Rotterdam a couple of years ago).

My pub would have a wide selection of drinks and a varied menu.

No theme. No loud music. No smoke. Just good company and a nice fire for the winter, a lovely garden in the summer. Maybe a bit of food, but nothing too fancy. All within walking distance of home.

Traditional Irish Pub, where the children could go and have a meal, and be taught camaraderie and self control because I would also have the biggest team of bouncers money could buy to keep the "drunken" element at bay.

A beer theme.
It should have a long list of good draught and bottled beers from around the world.
It should be decorated with breweriana - beer glasses, trays, mats, towels, etc. Ashtrays - only for decoration.
In fact it should be just like the Delirium Café in Brussels, but without the smoke.

PEOPLE! :D i would make it all about people, put pictures up, tasteful pictures, artsy pictures, but make it about people.. and if you have a bar, at the end of it, put a picture of a lonely guy sitting at a bar, because that's a classic.. if t was up to me, i would make it dark in there, with touches of light here and there, buy battery operated candles and put them up throughout the place.. oh and have diferent music every night...people will figure it out and show up on a specific night for the music, in my city, theres a place where we go every wed because the music creates the best atmosphere...

A military theme...i.e. The Sergeant's Stripe...Greeman's OP, or my favorite "the Baghdad Drift" ( heavy on military vehicles).

Or I'd call it "Duffy's II" and recreate the bar in An Jung-ri, including the Philipina dancing girls!
