The original Christian gave two commandments. Matthew 22:37-40. A willingness to follow these commandments (that is willingness and occasional success although success is not required) make you a christian.

They are the same ones who have been on earth since Jesus Christ was born, died for our sins and was resurrected to give us the power to have a relationship with God and live healthy, good lives.

In every century there are people who say, I'm a Christian...but they don't act like it. Christian in name only.

There are those who say I'm a Christian and their life shows God's presence. They are loving and honorable.

He is a Christian who has given control of his life and destiny to Jesus Christ and is willing to put his life, time and money on the line to demonstrate it.

I am a Christian. I live it every day. When I'm a jerk or I fail, I apologize. I don't ever want to be an embarrassment to Jesus, although I have pulled some really, really offensive stuff at times.

Who are you, questioner? :) Good question!!!

Firts, let's clear it out. The word Christian was a mocked name given in old times (2000 years ago) in Antioch by those people who did not believe in Jesus Christ as God.

So, 2000 years ago, there were already a group of Christ believers, the ORIGINAL CHURCH of Jesus Christ that was built by Jesus Christ. And this Church had continued until now, 2007 A.D. and this is the only real "Christians".

Catholics, Protestants, and many groups that were built by humans and are not connected to the original Church that Jesus Christ built are not logically Christians. They were counterfeit.

So my advice, so that you will not be called a counterfeit, join the original Church that Jesus Christ had built. For this Church has the power, authority, and right to speard the Word of God, the Bible.

Can you find the real Church of Jesus Christ that was built by Jesus Christ 2000 years ago? If not. research the history.

Who believes Jesus as a Foretold Messiah and a prophet as confirmed by God in Torah and Quran. These Holy Scriptures deny the incarnation theory as well as human divinity. Therefore the present Christianity is nothing but Paulism!

The word Christ is taken from Greek word Christos which is equallant to Hebrew word Messiah hence the whole Christianity is based on the faith / conformation of a Messiah (prophet) and not on the begotten Son of God and his divinity!

Jews do not accept Jesus as Messiah or prophet.

Muslims accept him as Prophet & Messiah therefore only Muslims are the real Christians in the eye of Jesus. This is the only reason of his 2nd comming!!

If any one deny my view then please tell me what new thing or idea Jesus has to tell you now?

Great question. !:-)

While there are many differing viewpoints as shown by the answers here ,the Bible is however clear on this point.

In Matthew 7:15-18 says 'Be on the watch for false prophets that come to YOU in sheep's covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit'

and then in verse 20 'Really then , by their fruits you will recognize those men.'

By observing the fruitage of a religion and what it teaches and comparing it to the truth found in the Bible can we discern who are the real Christians today.

Do they teach unGodly pagan teachings like the trinity , hellfire , or the immortality of the soul ?
Do they particpitae in acts of violence , wars , terrorism etc.
Do they participate in the running of the government and go directly against Jesus advice on such a matter.?

Yes by what they teach and what they do will you see their fruits.

And what is the outcome for these false religions.

Matthew 7:19 once again says clearly 'Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire.'

Soon all false religion will be destroyed and all of the people that follow it.

anyone who truely accept Jesus as their Lord. And believes that he alone is their only way to heaven. Not anything that you do, but only through the grace of Jesus. No cookies, no knocking on doors, no helping the poor, no reading the bible. Just through the grace of Jesus. We do our best to follow him out of respect, not with hopes of gaining salvation on our own.

good question. we're business people, factory workers, teachers, doctors, garbage collectors, etc... but most of all we are students and friends of the Son of Man. we are the congregants of the Invisible Church of God, the Church Militant, Suffering, and Triumphant, no matter which denomination we belong to.
