My husband and I have 3 beautiful children and I now have my tubes tied.... no fear of pregnancy there.

I lost my virginity on my wedding night and never did anything sexual before that date..... that rules out the second option.

Got anything else? How about, some women just like it?!

The two main ways anal sex might be dangerous would be injury and illness/STD risks. Both of these can be minimized and condoms can be part of that plan. Anal sex can be a safe and pleasurable experience if you keep a few things in mind. SFSI's FAQ (see link below) gives lots of details, but the main ideas are communication, lubrication, patience, and protection. Anal tissue is thin and can tear easily. Use lots of lube, take your time, and stop if there is any pain. If you're using a condom, make sure you use water-based lube with a latex condom; if you want to use an oil-based lube, be sure to use a polyurethane condom instead of a latex condom. There are some concerns about feces during anal sex and the transmission of diseases. In general, washing around the anus with warm water and soap is sufficient for getting rid of bacteria. If you or your partner are concerned about poop, some people feel more comfortable having anal sex after having an enema. Keep in mind that there are some bacteria in the anal tract that SHOULD NOT get into the vagina. Using a condom can decrease the chance of transferring bacteria into the vagina after anal sex because you can change to a new condom without having to stop and wash. Condoms can be helpful in preventing the transmission of STDs. The SF City Clinic Risk Chart lists many STDs that can be transmitted during anal sex including gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, herpes, and syphilis. If neither partner has an STD, then you are not at risk.

Actually, the prevalence of anal sex HAS NOT increased in the last 30 years, or possibly longer. It is just more acceptable to talk about it now.

Some people do it to remain "technical virgins," some people do it because they think it's safer (and it is, for pregnancy, but it actually increases your risk of getting STD's). Some do it because they enjoy it.

I've tried it before, simply out of curiosity. It was ok, I may try it again. But it's not a staple of my sex life.

It is a pervert act of a perverted mind and not something natural
The rule is if you do anything un-natural against the laws of nature You've got to pay a price for it STDs have not just fallen down from the skys
It is the natures way to tell us that this (anal-sex) is something wrong
It is like turning a boon into bane
No body in their right minds can even think of such a thing

I heard my gay friends do it.

But women as much as possible dont want it there.. i heard girls saying their boyfriends' keep trying it on the other hole. but i never heard girls asking their bfs' 'like hey lets do it anal this time...'

If your trying to make your own statistics out of here, I'd say my answer is NO, anal is not a girl thing. One thing more how come a virgin remains a virgin and accepts to do it in their behind? Dont you think she would like to keep her anal virgin too..

Anal sex is un-natural. Just because you or anybody else does have an another hole of a size matching to be get plugged, it does not mean that people are loving it or it's a trend. About gays I would like to say that they should get councelling or treatment for a psychological disorder.
