My question too, glad you asked it. THey say they want to hear nothing about God, yet they come here to mock us and hate us. WHY?? I personally believe its because down deep they are searching and if they keep seeking they will find the truths of God. SOme ppl say they dont want them here, but I say bring them on. Maybe if they are here long enough, a few will hear and receive truth. But a hard hearted person that knew they would never turn to God would just not be here. Just like I wont go to hear a bunch of devil worshippers speaking on their stuff, I wont hear it, even to debate it. YUK.
So, if they come here, they are willing to discuss it.. which means their mind isnt fully made up yet. THey disagree with me, I hear it freuently. But its ok. we still lvoe them and forgive them, and keep praying for them.
We can all agree to disagree, right? I pray them Jesus.

When I grew up, my dad was a hard core atheist. I was following in his footsteps untill I came under the conviction of the Holy Spirit at the age of 19. The only atheist I can speak for is the one I used to be... And I would have rather done just about anything than come in here and argue with Christians, or even have to get into a discussion about God of any kind, for that matter. For me it would have been as much fun as having my toe nails ripped out. I seriously don't understand these people.I really think a more fitting title than "atheist" for most of them would be 'Christian haters". I'm ready for my thumbs down. Bring 'em on.

No, I'm an Atheist and enjoy reading some of the stuff posted by religious people..

I am facinated with the ability to believe in this unseen mystical power.

I actually give you great credit and enjoy reading the peaceful posts..not the fanatic ones.

Since they claim that their beliefs aren't based on more than their Intellect and not on religious doctrines, traditions or God. Then I would avoid It at all costs. This would be like me going to a casino to gamble.I loath this It's wasteful and throwing hard earned money away on a whim. I wouldn't like the company of being In a casino or the atmosphere that It gives off. So,why would I go to a place that I have no desire to be or learn from ? It would be In vain. I can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink. All I have accomplished Is leading him to the water source,It's up to the horse to make the choice to drink from the Life sustaining water that will save him from dehydration & death. But note We have to lead him to the life source that's all we're required to do. Show Him The Way. Then the rest Is up to the horse.

Why aren't atheists allowed to be interested in religion?
It is always healthy to have your beliefs challenged and questioned. This helps you understand the world around you better, see other people's viewpoints, and get to know and express your own beliefs in return. I do not want to be stagnate in my atheism; I am willing to give others a listen and see what opinions and evidence is out there.

As seen in the Basic Points of Buddhism, one general doctrine agreed upon by Buddhists is: "We do not believe that this world is created and ruled by a God." However, disbelief in a creator God does not mean that Buddhism is atheistic"

Buddhist dont consider themselves atheists, was it fair of that answerer to call them atheists?

Several atheists have expressed how they want to enlighten the religious. Show them the truth. Isnt that just a nice way of saying they want to convert them to their belief system? Isnt that exactly what they complain about christians trying to do?

There is no such thing as a true atheist.

1. Many curse using God's name in vain, why would they curse at someone they do not believe in?

2. I have known two self proclaimed atheists ( friends) who both died from a terminal disease. They both cried out to God from their death bed.

The militant ones come here. The real life ones are just living their lives and avoiding religion as best they can.
