Man created god during the very early period of human civilization to explain the what, how and why of events that was happening around him. This later became a religion and through history we had many different types of religion. The modern form of religion will remain for a short time until something else comes along.

i believe that there is no empirical evidence for any kind of supreme consciousness. I think that mythology and religion are inventions to help human beings make sense of their world, as is science. To a point, religion is also a way of having a codified set of social mores, and once there is an organizational power structure (eg. the papacy), religion can also be used to scare and manipulate the everyday person into doing things the way those within the hierarchy want them done. I also believe that the world and the universe are much bigger and more complex than we could ever imagine and to me that is magical enough in itself without having to have a being to attribute it all to.

I believe God created me! I met Jesus Christ when I was 18 years old. I was at a point of suicide due to some bad things I went through. After I began to interact with God and learned what the Bible taught it became the basis for my life, philosophically and morally and socially. I truly believe I would have taken my life had God not intervened and helped me. That happened on October 21, 1971, on a Thursday night, in a youth meeting, between 7:00PM and 9:00PM. My life has never been the same and I have honestly never been sorry for one moment that I've based my whole life on these beliefs. God has done everything for me I couldn't do for myself. I wanted to be honest, but I lied and shoplifted. I said I loved people, but I was mean and rude. I tried to commit suicide and then God stepped in. He made me able to be honest, kind and strong enough to stay alive even in hard times I've had. Sorry if I'm just going on and one. Jesus is like that to me I want to rave about Him. He is more real than anyone and He put my needs before His own. He's the best
I'm not here to argue religion or sociology or even philosophy. I just want to share the experience of my own life. If you want to know this for yourself, you can ask God. "God, if you are real, please show yourself real to me". He would love to interact with you. All the Best to You.

O.K. I thought about this, I always believed him to be man's creation, to keep people in line. Think about it Satan got sent to Hell for rebelling, the leaders of society didn't want people to rebel, so they made up that story to scare people. Then I thought of a way to prove it. God never makes mistakes, and knows all, right? Well if he does, he would know Satan would rebel. So basically God made Satan just to send him to Hell. So if you want to believe in a God that makes creations to send into a eternal damnation, go ahead, but I don't believe.

I find it difficult to believe in. The whole thing seems so outside the box to even have happened... Not to mention all the scientific evidence that shows that what that book says... well you all know the rest. Those of you of course who don't follow into something like this without giving anything any thought what so ever.

Man created God to answer the unanswerables. But, believe if you can because He will give you hope, or the ultimate escape so that it was God's will.

If you believe in a god.... then that god exists for you.
If you don't believe in gods, then they don't exist.
People who believe in god(s) get upset at those who don't. The reason?... cause those that believe NEED others to agree with them to validate something/someone they're unsure about.
