Christian churches follow caste system in the manner people stand for prayers
Muslims have castes and subcastes, dowry (meher) during their marriage ceremonies
Surdarjees too, balle , balle, have a caste system ji
Then Why blaming only Hindus?

A Muslim 'Mehtar' who does cleaning work, can very well go to any Mosque and pray ALONGSIDE any Muslim of any caste. No Muslim can deny him this right.
Can his Hindu counterpart do it ?
Do the higher class Muslims ever deny the basic rights such as to sit beside you,
to share water of wells in the villages,
to take BARAAT [ marriage procession] of their kiths & kin from any place they want,
to go to any mosque, like Hindus do ?
Do the Muslims follow " UNTOUCHABILITY " like Hindus do ?
The answer is big " N O ".
The untouchability and racism is very much prevelent in Hindu society which is found neither amongst Muslims nor amongst the Sikhs or Christians.

It is better for you to learn more than just trying to escape from the reality.There was a cast system,There is a cast system,and there will be a cast system in India and especially amoung our hindu brethren.No body blames the hindu Religion! But it is the Cukture and the system which should be blamed. Ther are very poor and illetrate Muslims and Christians but no one practises the cast system of race and creed,!

I would safely way that the caste system is more a cultural thing than it is a religious thing. I am a Muslim, and when I go back home, I hear the elders always getting so "hung up" on what clan the people who they do not want to talk to are.
Its interesting to see that the caste question never comes up when a person marries a non-Indian (Desi).... in that case, the caste is HUMAN!!!!

You need to align your thoughts, I'm a Christian and caste system is not observed and practiced, manner of praying don't portray caste system here. And we don't blame Hindus of the system!

the hindu caste system was pretty harsh, and still is to some sense. "untouchability" isn't that very mean?? the others aren't THAT strict. though, youre right, any caste system is mean.

because in India, the caste system is institutionalized. its not about the religion so much as how the system affects the government and the citizens.
