I was wondering how much it costs to have a dog neutered at your base veterinarian? We just got a new puppy and I am debating whether or not to take him to the vet on base. Thanks!

Base vets are not allowed to do surgeries, use the X-ray equipment, etc except overseas (Federal law) but somewhat of an exception is made for neutering - they will do it on a space available basis. The last time I had it done was really to long ago for a cost now, but in 1999 it cost me about $25.

They're not the same at all bases, so call them and ask for their rate. They can tell you over the phone.

I don't particularly care for my base's vet, so I wish you luck with yours!
