I ended it badly, with mean words and some vengeful actions (which he sorely deserved, believe me). Now he will have no contact with me (it's been well over a month). I was thinking, if I could somehow do something funny, I could make him want to be friends with me. He lives in another state, so it would have to be through mail, text, or email. It would have to be non-threatening and very funny for him to even consider talking to me...
It's possible I could run into him at the airport (he's a pilot) if I tried several times, or perhaps at the skatepark (even though he's 49, he skates) that he sometimes goes to (but I'd have to get lucky to run across him; he doesn't go that much and I don't know his schedule). I just want to figure out a way to soften all the pain we both went through.

No, NO, NNOO!!!! What do you think neglecting, dening, or forgetting is going to help this relationship? Which honestly I don't know why, you hurt each other like a butch of kids and that guy flies plains, scary.... that all aside be honest with him is your best bet, if you want to be funny honest, be funny honest, but with out that, your just extending your heck, but its your life, do what you most with it, just stay away from thinking humour by itself is going to save YOU from any heartache in this relationship.... Also don't forsake the past, thats why people don't get over bad past relationships, you need to learn from them, you need to relate them, and you need to understand them, short of that, your might as well be in highschool again, just two day-dreamers playing games with each others and their own emotions..... besides that the only way the humour would work is if he want'd to take you back anyways and was to prideful to say anything, what a guy!
