In Islam, we are not guilty for the sins of Adam and all Muslims are not guilty for the sins of fellow Muslims.

It might be a difficult concept for some to understand but in Islam each individual is responsible for their own actions........

Mormons dont believe in the original sin. Everyone is only responsible for their own actions. Noone is born with a need to be baptized as a baby because babies havent done anything wrong.

No... Adam was guilty of his own sins. I'm not guilty of the sins of others, just my own! And Christians do not say that Muslims are guilty for the sins of other Muslims.... only the individual is guilty of their own sins.

I don't understand where this idea comes from!

As explained in a previous answer, the idea of "Original Sin" is that SINCE Adam sinned, then we also have that "propensity" towards sin rather than non-sin. That is NOT to say that our spirits are EVIL... no no no... just that... say, if we have a choice between doing something right and wrong, our "sinful nature" will lean towards choosing to do the "wrong" thing. Now... the idea of being "Born again" is that this "sinful nature" is then changed, and if given that same choice, we will lean towards choosing the "right" thing. Oh... we still struggle, and now and then, we DO make the "wrong" choice, but our "new" spirits then convince us that we were wrong and we desire to repent of that wrongness.

I do hope this has helped clarify things for you.

Have a blessed day.

If you are perfect then you have no worries correct?
If you are not perfect then you must hope for an unrighteous God or the atonement a righteous God provided.
Christian are not accountable for the sins of Adam.
Muslims do not understand because their prophet did not understand original sin.
Muhammad thought original sin meant we are judged for Adams sin.
We are not but sin and death did enter the world through Adam's transgression.
In this way we inherit both sin and death from Adam.

Muhammad had the same problem understanding the trinity.
thinking the trinity was seperate Gods.

This is how it is and no other way.
Adan and Eve were made in the image of God. He is Spirit, soul (intellect, will, character) and body (which is Jesus). Man is spirit and when Adam was made God breathed into him and made him a living soul. or God's Spirit entered into Adam's spirit and made his soul alive and life came into his body. When Adam sinned God's Spirit could no longer dwell in the same body as Adam and Eve and therefore when they left the Garden of Eden the left without the Spirit of God in their spirits and this is what all men are born under. Without the Spirit of God and the only way to become God's child is to have the Spirit once again fill us. thus, we need blood for forgiveness and that blood is supplied by Jesus Christ. When we are redeemed by this blood then we can be filled with God's Spirit and become his child and receive eternal life.

In Christianity each person is responsible for their own actions as well.

The idea with Adam is that we've inherited from our ancestors the propensity, or the predisposition to sin. We are inclined to be selfish and self-serving as opposed to trusting and obedient and looking out for the needs of others.

We inherit the predisposition and then it is up to us how far we indulge our leanings toward selfishness or how much we fight against it and listen to our consciousnesses.

We will all be judged by how we live our lives, not by what group we come from!

Super answers above.

Just want to add that Christians also believe in helping each other to become more righteous. Most of us gave up killing each other over disagreements a long time ago. The rest are moving in that direction.

Any way we can encourage radical Muslims to stop killing others in God's name, too?

The Bible says, "ALL have fallen short..." That means, we are not guilty because of Adam and Eve. We are born sinners, all of us. But Jesus came to pay for our sins. He died to pay for the sin of all mankind. Did you know Muhammad speaks of Jesus in the Quran?

The sin of Adam&Eve is called the "Original Sin" and we are to be blamed for it. And only Jesus blood can wash it away.

I think thats what the believe.

Is that how those suicide bombers get around the moral dilemma they impose on their non-suicide bombing brethren?
