My doctors are toying with a number of different possibilities but its driving me crazy coz they havn't figured it out. I'm having tests soon but in the meantime I was wondering what you thought it might be, or if anyone has the same symptoms

* Really bad cramps on lower left abdomen where appendix is (mines out)
* sometimes cramps on lower left side
* sometimes go days without going to the toilet ( I dont think i'm constipated as I dont have any trouble/straining when I do go)
* In past 5 weeks I have had 4 different stools with blood
* Had 1 lot of loose stool a week ago
* Sometimes mucous in stool (yellow)

If anyone can help please do!!
(Please dont reply with "eww, gross" or anything like that.

Appendix is on the right.

Sounds like an irritated condition of the large intestine, but you need tests; probably a colonoscopy, which is a flexible tube to look in the colon. May be a benign condition like irritable bowel, which can be controlled with fiber and diet and exercise. Keep on with your doctors.

The appendix is on your lower right side of abdomen.

Signs and symptoms similar to IBS-Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Stay with you docs and finish tests.

IBS treatments include:

Refrain from foods with hulls: includes peas, beans, corn, grapefruit, oranges, etc The hull irritates the bowel.

Refrain from carbonated drinks

Refrain from caffeine

Fiber in your diet.

Good luck

I think u may have what they call colon palps my grandma use to get them all the time. OR MAYBE EVEN A BOWEL OBSTRUCTION SOMEWHERE IN THAT AREA. My aunt was just diagnosed with colon cancer she has to get surgery to get one of those colostomy bags. But I don't think u got cancer or anything like that. Just get a colonostomy to make sure. Make sure your doctor gives u one of those. Well take care an I hope u find out what it is soon keep me posted.

Sounds like it could be IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). If it is, it's not that serious and there is medicine you can take to control the symptoms. Ask your doctor to see if he can prescribe you something for that and see if it helps.

If a doctor doesn't know what you have, what chance do you have finding out by asking a bunch of unqualified internet users? Get real!
