considering your hands and fingers are constantly moving the area will be more irritated than if you got a tattoo on your upper arm. irritation will result in swelling and redness. so therefore your finger tattoos will swell slightly more. there really isnt a "normal swelling time." it all depends on what activities you do and what kind of things your hands are doing. if you have to have your hands in rubber gloves this will make a difference and also increase the chance of infection. as will being submerged in water or other liquid. handling raw meats and such also will increase the chance of infection. all tattoo artists recommend and give advice differently so your best bet is to go to your trusted artist and question them. and i do not use the term trusted loosely. hope i could help. <3BrE

i would think that finger tattoos would swell a bit. but not as bad as some places (my feet swole so big they woudn't fit into a flip flop!) swelling should only be bad for a couple of days and go down after that. i have a friend who has his finger tattoo and i don't remember it swelling at all but i probably just didn't pay attention.

yes they will swell more but that should only last for a week or so. If your finger is still swollen after that amount of time go see you Dr. not your tattooist. because you have managed to get it infected.keep it clean and make sure that you keep putting on what ever ointment your tattooist recommended on it do not let it get dry until it heals. also make sure to bandage your tattoo if you work where it can get wet alot or dirty. this will help keep it clean and stop it from getting infected.

Ok good what you have to do is uncover a well artist first. Go round to specific retail outlets and take a appear at all of the artist's portfolios. Take a appear at high-quality tattoos on the net. One of the first-class is Nikko Hurtado in Apple Valley, CA...he has mighty paintings. second...speak with the artist you decide on. Run your recommendations by way of him and paintings with him to take a look at to create anything that may waft good, a few method to tie the whole thing in in combination. Spend plenty of time making definite it is what you wish as good. A part sleeve is not anything to be nonchalant approximately. Talk together with your artist and make certain he/she has the ability to drag it off. If you are severe then they will take some time to create anything with you that finally ends up watching mighty. Also, do not be afraid to drop cash or journey out due to the fact that it is valued at it for a high-quality tattoo. Check out All or Nothing Tattoo in Atlanta and Ignition Tattoo in Apple Valley, Ca. These retail outlets come to be with mighty paintings popping out of them.

you only "swell up" when you have salt, alcohol, or narcotics in your system prior to the tattoo. if you take ibuprofen and ice it, it will go down.
