God truly wants a personal relationship with us:

As the others have said, read your Bible regularly. But don't just read it, meditate on it. Instead of reading a whole chapter, read until you feel the Holy Spirit speaking to you. If there is a certain verse that jumps out, spend some time dwelling on it, asking God to reveal His Word to you. Of course, you should pray. Save your requests for the end though. Express your love and thanksgiving to God first. And don't forget to be still and listen. I would also highly suggest investing in some worship music (Matt Redman and Chris Tomlin would be great starters) that you can listen to before your time of reading and prayer.
Finally, remember Psalm 105:4 Look to the LORD and his strength;
*seek his face always.*

First of all, do not make the mistake of depending on your feelings because we, as fallen human beings, are easily deceived.
Secondly, you draw closer to God through prayer and by meditating on His Word. You also draw closer to God by exercising your faith.

but i dont know why i am answering this even though you may not be muslim. When you are in prayer and are reading the quran in prayer god replys to you. reading the quran. praying. giveing charity. Just being an overall good person, God will love you tell his angels and his creation will love you. A sign of true love from the people around you and even random people is that god loves you, but it has to be true love. Belive me some people love others because they are rich thats not true love, Loveing someone because they are a good person or they are pious is ture love.

Reading His word in the Bible, reading Christian books, watching & listening to Christian programs, going to Church. It might be wise to get involved in a Bible study. Offer to teach Sunday School and by sharing your faith with others, Getting involved in something that helps others (food pantery, winter "warm shelters", toys for tots, aid to a single mother) are a few probgams that stand as an aid to others. Reminding and asking yourself: WWJD? and acting upon it, can't help but being an aid to you in feeling closer to Him.

Talk to him each day find a secluded quite place and just talk to him just you and him. The best place for me has always been out in nature the forest a lake, mountain. If you read history and the bible man has always sought out GOD in the wilderness. Its not delusional god is in everyone and everyone is of God. Ask and you will be answered seek and you will find. Pray, place yourself around others who love Him too, listen to sermons and worship and praise music, and read the Bible. These things help me however, remember that feelings are not always correct. Obedience, love for Him and love for others is what He wants of us. He will justify our feelings.

Join Bible study, pray regularly and keep a righteous heart, and try to live the way Jesus live, like meals, etc....

God is living inside yourself as your intellectual soul, He is not different from you. You need to feel him if you are different from him but you both are same so there is no need to feel him

well, if you believe that your god is omnipresent you could take advantage of that concept. if your god is omnipresent then there isn't anywhere you can go that "He" is not.
oh and hey! if your god is omnipresent you can take comfort in knowing that no soul can ever get lost because "God" would be where every soul is.
