right to say something, when I should of said, when you call a company and get the automated voice telling you press one for english, and 5 for billing, but no one actually ever comes on the phone, how long do you wait before deciding whoever answers that phone you should say something to them about it. The reason I am asking is because I had to call Comcast today and was on hold before ever speaking with ANYONE for an hour and a half. When I did voice my opinion about it, she said "I'm sorry you were on hold that long, how may I help you?"...I can laugh now, cause it's over...but I was very angry then!

hydro has had me waiting about that long before as well, and the person that finally answered got a really good ear full. They expect us to have to have a whole fu@k*ng hour and a half out of our busy lives to waste on a phone call that should only take two ********* minutes. I hate calling big companies like that especially when the shittty music stop and a recording comes on and says " THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE......" My patience ran out an hour ago "Nobs".

Any way have a nice day!!! :) Sorry for the rage had to get that out, feel much better now.

It isn't the person who helps you who caused the delay. I was hired in software support after an upgrade with bugs went out. They hired as many as they could and asked the customers not to install the upgrades but we still have over a week of backlog. We got messages and called them back a week after they called us. As busy as we were they each wanted to waste time complaining instead of fixing the problem. We did catch up eventually but some customers were just rude to people who didn't even work there when the software was released.

If you feel the need to complain I would try with someone hire up then the customer service people. They have no power over how long you should be on hold.

They are deal with as many people as they can. A solution for the company might be to hire more people.

If you want to complain write a letter. Although you were holding for a long time, the person you spoke to had probably been helping customers non-stop that whole time. She can't hire more people and it is in her best interest to get to the crux of the reason for your call as quickly as possible.

This problem happens with most places any of of call anymore and it's enough to make us all angry. There is one thing I learned and that is as soon as the voice mail starts giving you options, press zero instead. Most of the time that will connect you to a real "live" person.

wow I would have never stayed on hold that long for anything. You've been having a lot of problems with them haven't you? Try to report them to the Better Business Bureau. That'll really hit them where it hurts. I would have demanded to speak to a manager or supervisor when they finally did answer the phone. Stupid lady, she shouldn't have just blown you off like that. Companies need to realize that our time is just as valuable as theirs. ARGH. I'm mad and it didn't even happen to me! LOL. I'd def. report them.
