Nothing works equally for everyone. I have listed below, some of my own methods. Only you know how your body works, so you will need to design your own plan. But, one fo the most important things to remember: DO NOT USE THE WORD DIET. You will be automatically telling your brain that you are depriving yourself and will only increase your desire to eat. 1. Cut back on daily calorie and carb intake. (My weakness was the carbs. The more I ate the more I craved.) 2. Don't completely deny yourself of a favorite, not-so-good-for-you food, you will only want it more. 3. Limit meal portions. Eat several small meals a day verses 3 large meals, with small snacks in between. Giving your stomach something every 2-3 hours will increase your metabolism (fat-burner, converts food into energy). 4. Slow down when you eat. Most people eat so fast that they do not give the food a chance to reach the stomach to send signals to the brain that you are full. 5. Increase your daily activity, if even the slightest. Throw in a walk down the block and back, or a walk around your house or office building. Make it simple, and then gradually increase activity time. 6. Don't have unrealistic expectations. Slow and steady weight loss is easier to maintain than rapid weightloss. 7. Don't get locked on a number for your ideal weight. The way your clothes fit and how you see yourself in the mirror is a better truth teller than any scale. If you do over indulge (kind of hard not to with the holidays coming up), cut back a bit for a day or two. 8. Don't ever forget, You Are Beautiful. ♥

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You don't need a plan. Eat a balanced diet, lower your caloric intake and exercise moderately daily.
Eat fattening desserts in moderation.
Eat fresh fruits and veggies.
Eat lean meats, poultry and fish. Good idea to remove the skin from chicken before you consume. Most of the fat clings to the skin.
Basically, the key is to eat some of just about everything to maintain a balanced diet. But it is important to cut down on portions you consume to lose weight. A good rule of thumb is to eat about 70% of what you normally eat.
Exercise can be accomplished merely by walking 5-7 days per week. Try doing 2.5 to 3 miles per day.
A plan like this is doable. It takes some will power of course, but if you are mentally committed to losing weight, IT WORKS.

Normally mothers are the most difficult group of people to loose weight. Worst still if you're more than 30 years old and gained more than 15kg during pregnancy. I'm a mother of 3, infact, the last birth really took away my shape. What i do now is to watch what i eat (like you did) and take some pills for detox from GNC but find my time to exercise 2 hours every Saturday. I don't do weekdays as I'm working, so I join aerobics and pilates on Saturdays.
Its a slow process but at least you can feel healthy inside out. In fact, this is the last resort after I've tried slimming pills.. it 's better than those pills... trust me!

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
