i'm a part time college student. my classes: tuesday & thursday 8am-12.30pm.

my current job:
fulltime
mon-fri 3pm-11pm
$ 9.50
35 mi or about 40mins drive

there's another job i'm interested in:
part time
mon-fri 4pm-9pm
$13
10 mi or about 10mins drive

note:
both data entry jobs
i go to school part time and will start going full time next semester (jan 08)

which one should i choose???

my current job: $300/week and i calculated i would get less from the part time job but i 'd have more time to study.

From what you've reported, the part-time job is the hands-down winner. The part-time job pays $55 less per week. After taxes and transportation costs, you'd probably lose the $55 difference at the full-time job, and the part-time job would give you considerably more time to study. It would take fabulous benefits at the full-time job to overcome the disadvantages, something like free health insurance, all education costs paid for, and a month of paid vacation.

You should put your energy into college as much as possible. In the long run, that's where the real money is.

that $3.5 an hour will add up quick, especially with gas. if there's nothing else that makes one better than the other... GO WITH THE MONEY!
