Hi, i like chi hua hua,
They are my fav dog, as they are really loyalty dog.
I own 3 of them, so you can see why..i keep on having one after one and .., now having 3 already..2 is adopt, one is given from my friend,as my friend don't have the resposible to take care of a dog at all..

Chi hua hua is name after a mexican state they are very alert, spirited, bold, friendly(if you socialization them well,(they don't like other dog with them) but if you bring them out more often to socialization with other dog & people they will change) but they really enjoy human company, when i'm at home they will stick to you all the time, no matter where you go they will follow you, they will never feel tired following you & do what you want them to do.
And they are really a small Guard dog, it really true, all my 3 of them is really take care of me, when i go out(walking with them out for pee & poo), they will bark at the person who really comeing near to me, or even when my friend (which is new friend who they don't know well)who want to come near me when i'm holding him or her on my hand, they will bark at her..
And they don't eat much, so won't pee or poo much as well.
But they do have some problem in breathing, due to they have small muzzle, so at night they need warm bed,so put alof of blanket for them.
Ans the other will be the tooth problem.
They can't hold all the 42teeth in small muzzle, so have tooth decay problem also, so brush teeth 2 time a day is needed,(if you have time)

As for miniture pinscher this is from my friend infore, so hope will help you.
They are a pretty playful feisty nature, instincts for hunting, curious, independent, alert, courageous, and they are constantly busy and active..
They enjoys human company as well, and they do like to play with their owner, they won't feel tired at all, so you better be young to have the energy to play with them afte the hard working day ; )
But you better to socialized them well with other dog & people.
There was once my friend told me, her dog try to run away once, due to it was to bored at home, without any company,so my friend adopt another one to have it company, as my friend work long hour, so the dog need company at home..But she still manage to find back her dog(at her neighbour house) ; )

And last ...pls try to save a dog, try to adopt one at the rescue centre, and see do they have any chi hua hua or pinscher for adopt or not..or other dog you like it first ,before going to pet farm to buy one..
Hope this will help you to choose ..
Good day to you..

These "Rules for being a Minpin" may help:

1. A Minpin has two settings, snore and frenzy.
2. All destinations must be reached by first stepping on a human.
3. Wherever a human is about to sit - a Minpin must already be.
4. A Minpin must jump into the lap of any human that sits down, and then back on the floor and then back into the lap then back onto the floor before retuning to previous location.
5. When a human is carrying anything that might possibly be food a Minpin must jump repeatedly into the air as close to the human as possible.
6. Any item a human has must be investigated vigorously with feet and nose (especially any piping hot liquid)
7. A Minpin must own at least 10 chew items
8. If a Minpin has less than 10 chew items, any item in the house up to one half the Minpin’s weight may be confiscated for the purpose of a chew item.
9. Any item smaller than the size of two golf balls must be swallowed.
10. Regardless of the ambient temperature, a Minpin must locate and absorb as much heat as possible.
11. Any cat that will knock small items to the floor for digestion may be considered a friend.
12. All cats must be chased around the house at breakneck speed at random intervals.
13. Dog dishes should be emptied in less than 11 seconds.
14. Dog food may be eaten slowly if spread out on the carpet covered in saliva.
15. Any putrid piece of compost is preferable to dog food
16. Laser points should be chased until all energy reserves in dog and laser are expended.
17. Those small creatures Minpin’s were born to hunt and eat should be chased into a cationic state of exhaustion but not harmed in any way so they can be chased again once they are rested. ( It may be necessary to locate such creatures while outside and carry them inside).
18. All Minpins should perfect a “quizzical” look to be employed while standing perfectly still as your human calls your name over and over.
19. A Minpin must spin around at least 5 times before pooping.
20. With the acres and acres of carpet available in the average house – it is never necessary to “hold it.”
21. A Minpipn’s brain may not be larger than its mouth.
22. No matter how many episodes of the Dog Whisperer your human watches - always behave like a rabid weasel when around other dogs.
23. A Minpin must love all humans because they are the ones that allow us to live outside the laws of natural selection

highm8tanence has a good list of rules there, my younger Min Pin must of studied those rules because he does almost everything listed. He is hyper, LOVES his toys and cries if you take them away, will eat anything in sight... will get something off of the table as soon as I turn my back.. and he KNOWS better. He's definitely sneaky, but VERY smart and outgoing. They love to snuggle, if a human isn't available for snuggling they will find the nearest blanket. My older one is much calmer and laid back, but was hyper as a pup. Great dogs, but they do require a huge amount of attention. I'm not sure about a Chihuahua, I've never owned one.

i have a chihuahua & she's adorable!!!!! she loves playing, cuddiling up with u, just whatch that u don't feed them 2 much...

try looking up on the net, how to look after/care for (insert breed) then find out which 1 soots ur family & home, + which 1 is easier 2 look after 2 u...

Depends mainly on what you like. I have owned min pins and taised them in the past. They are great dogs but just a little too hyper for me. I still own and raise chihuahuas. They have always been my favorite breed. A little more laid back than the min pin. Both breeds are smart but stubborn. I think of the min pin as being more of a guy's dog.

Kind of a personal decision, but Minpin, of course!

That depends on the possible owner's idiosyncrasies.
