I hear everyone saying that we have to fight the terrorists but who are they talking about? GHosts? Iraqi's who want their country back? Taliban? Al Qaida? WHo are those folks? Why are we having to fight them? How can we win? How will we know when we have won if we don't even know who or why we are fighting?

That's why the war on terror is a nonsense, it just produces more terror.
They have to remove the reasons for terror.

Traditional definition: The systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. It isn't always small organizations that fit the word "terrorist". The use of "war on terror" here, is a propaganda technique to sooth Americans into thinking they're fighting a war of good vs. evil, as well as leave the door open into expanding the war on terror, or as my military history professor said "this war against Islamic fundamentalism" outside Iraq and Afghanistan. Thus nobody knows what exactly a terrorist is, so they can't protest. The funny thing is, we can't win this war either, let alone spread it outside of where we already are. Congressmen obviously never took economics seriously in school.

The REAL terrorists in this scenario are George Bush, Dick Cheney, Rudy Gulianni and John McCain. They are instigating more fear in Americans than anyone outside our borders. I'm not trying to say that there's no threat. Of Course there is! But these 4 people are beating the drums that will instill and foster terror in the hearts of Americans every day and, after all, what IS a terrorist?
People in the middle east want to kill us because we keep interfering in their way of life and they REALLY don't like it! I can understand that. I wouldn't like it if they came over here did that to US either!

a terrorist is someone who kills innocent (non-governmental and non-active) people to make a political point. basically, if you were to blow up a grocery store in chicago to protest or retaliate against something the u.s. government did, you're a terrorist. if you sit up high on a hill with your sniper rifle picking off politicians and military personnel to protest or retaliate against something the government did, then you don't qualify as a terrorist.

Terrorists are those who incite fear in others by claiming that our lives are at stake, thereby dragging us in wars that are not justified. WMD's in IRAQ? Where are they? Next Iran and so forth.

but to answer your Question, They are the Jihadist that want to make the world a Islamic world.
Sound like the same BS that all Fasist through out history wanted,just with a religon as it's baseis.
