Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Old Testament
Songs of Solomon Chapter 5 verses 16:
"His mouth is sweet,he is altogether lovely, this is my beloved, this is my friend,oh Daughters of Jerusalem."

Translation Hebrew:
" Hikko Mamittakim Vi Kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraeeh,Bayna Jerusalem"

Notice that the word Muhammad is mentioned in this verses as in it's original language(Hebrew)

"......Furthermore it is declared that the coming of Mohammad under the name of 'AHMAD' and that his name is specifically recorded in 'TAWRAH' and 'INJIL' as the prophet of GENTILES [ an-nabi, ul-ummi, interprated by later orthodox as the 'unlettered prophet'] Nevertheless, the Jews [ and perhaps by implication, the Christians also seek to conceal the witness of thier scriptures and are guilty of
misquoting and even wilfully perverting them."--[Moahammadanism, An Historical Survey, by Hamilton A.R.GIBB,pg-53]

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"

John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."

" That God finding that the mildness of Isa had not proved effectual, had now sent him [prophet] who was the comforter promised by him [ Isa], to protect his followers from further prosecution, and to propagate the doctrine of the prophets and of Isa, who all taught that there was only one God ruling the world by his providence, a rewarder of the just and punisher of the evil-doers.[ An Account of The Rise And Progress of Mahometanism with the life of Mahomet- by

"....the work has happily begun, the great God hath sent you a
prophet to conduct you, such as the sun never beheld. Edris, Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Moses, Isa had those charachter imprinted on them that we reverence thier memories and esteem, each of them truly great, but never ever equald Mahomet, the last and chiefest Apostle of God."--[ Ibid, pg-109]

" Deut. XXXiii-2, God is said to have come from 'Sinai', to have appearedin 'Sier' and manifested himself in 'Paran'which they interpret that God gave the Law to Moses in 'Sinai', that in 'Sier' which are mountains near Jerusalem, he gave the Gospel to 'Isa' and thereby
further illustrated the Law [ in token of which 'Isa' himself was
circumcised and he himself said that he came not to destroy the Law of Moses but to confirm it], lastly they say that by 'Paran' are meant the mountains near Meccah, where the same Law was perfected and magnified by thier prophet Mahomet, who is the fullness of the Law of God."--[Ibid, pg-162]

" Isaiah XXi,7, we read --And he saw with a couple of horsemen a chariot of Asses and the chariot of Camels......whereby the rider upon an *** they understand Jesus Christ, because he did so ride to Jerusalem, and by the rider on the camel, Mahomet, because he was an Arabian, which poeple used to ride upon camels."--[Ibid,
pg-163]

".......Lastly, whereas 'Isa' says in the Gospel [John-XVi,7], Except I go hence, the 'COMFORTER' will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you. By the comforter in this place, they say, is meant Mahomet, the paraclete or comforter being one of his names or titles in the Arabian language."--[ibid]

Yes of course coming of Mohammad has been foretold in the Bible as you rightly asked.

No mention Specifically..Mohammed came on the scene long after the Old Testament and New Testaments were written, around the 12th Century A.D. ...it does however mention in Genesis 10 the Sons of Ham which include: Babylon.Midian, Moab, Syria ....Isaiah 21, Jeremiah 50, the Arabs, Deuteronomy 17:3 and praying to the east, Judges 2:13, 1st Kings 18:22-27

That may be in your quran, But it our Bible there is NOT even a prophisy conserning Mohammed on Islam, no matter how you try to twist the scriptures. So just tell us that you believe your quran, And stop tellin' lies concerning the Bible and your faith. You can only convince the unlearned......... I'll debate you ANYTIME! anytime.

ngerkday, one of the references in scripture you are asking about is Isaiah 29:11-18. These verses as a whole read:

"(11) And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, [I pray thee]: and he saith, I cannot; for it [is] sealed: (12) And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, [I pray thee]: and he saith, I am not learned. (13) Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near [me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: (14) Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, [even] a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise [men] shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. (15) Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? (16) Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding? (17) [Is] it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? (18) And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness."

Regardless of personal opinion or belief... the reference to this scripture is based on the circumstances during the revelation of the first verses (of the Quran) to Muhammad (Quran. Al-Alak(96):1-5).

The angel Gabriel appeared before him and ordered him to "Iqra!" (read, recite, proclaim). Being illiterate Muhammad answered "I am unlettered." Gabriel ordered him again... "Iqra!" Muhammad again replied: "I am unlettered." Gabriel commanded him "Iqraa in the name of Allah who created!"

Muhammad realized that he wasn't being asked to read, but to recite, to repeat. He then repeated the first verses of the Qur'an revealed to him which together read:

"Read(Iqraa): In the name of your Lord who created, Created man from a clot. Read(Iqraa): And your Lord is the Most Bounteous, Who teaches by the pen, Teaches man that which he knew not." - Qur'an, Al-Alak(96):1-5

The Arabic word "Iqra" is derived from the root word "qara". This is the same word found in the original Hebrew verses of Isaiah 29:11. The Hebrew word "qara" means "Read this [I pray thee]".

Hope this helps.

djmantx... just out of curiosity... what Bible version are you reading?

In the Bbile there are no Muslims, Prophets are prophets of God not religions either a man is a prophet of God and in agreement with God and his prophets or he is not a prophet.
Deut.13: 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

A prophet of God must be in agreement with the words of the prophets and the known word of God.

1John 2: 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Anyone who claims to be a prophet of God must agree Jesus is the Christ the Son of God who is our savior.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Gal. 1: 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

If an angel or a man preach a different gospel he is not of God.
