You know what is the right thing to do. Stand by your decision to make good grades. That is what is going to get you into college, not soccer.
Tell your dad that you love him and that you are pleased at how proud he is of your athletic ability but your grades are more important right now.
He will appreciate your maturity.

So, if you love soccer....why did you quit in the first place? Do you work or something?? I know that school work takes time, but you are only young once. You have to make time for the fun stuff too! Maybe being on a team would motivate you to keep your grades up more...since you can't play if your grades are low. Bottom line is though...it should be what you want to do, not what your dad wants you to do. Otherwise, you are just going to feel more stressed and your grades will probably be even lower!

Sweetie you are young and I sometimes wish I could get those days back!! Look if it something that you love GO FOR IT!! The memories you'll have later own will be priceless. What you have to do is prioritize, you get your dad to help you with your homework, that way he will be on ball encouraging you on and off the field. Keep your grades solid cause if you are decent like you say apply to schools that offer soccer as extracurricular activities who knows you might get a scholarship! Best Wishes baby and remember go for it!!

You've got your head screwed on straight. Go for the scholastics. When you get to college, there will be lots of teams you can join for "intramural" games. You can still have your soccer, but you'll get to go to the right school because you got good grades in high school.

It seems that you have your priorities straight. You are working on your grades and since you want to go to college, you need those grades. They will mean a lot on those college applications.
You need to explain to your dad that you really want to go to college and you have to work on getting your grades up.
