There are many verses in the OT that make a reference that God did not desire burnt sacrifices, such as Psa 40:6 : Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened; burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked.

BUT the Mosaic Law included very specific commands of what type of animals to sacrifice and when. If God did not see some kind of need for this, He never would have included detailed instructions for it in the Mosaic Law. Second, and more importantly, if it were not necessary then explain these verses that Jesus spoke to His disciples immediately before He was taken away to be charged:

Matt 26:53-56 Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that IT MUST BE SO? In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, Have you come out in order to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a thief? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me. But all this happened that the Scriptures of the prophets MIGHT BE FULFILLED. Then all the disciples fled, forsaking Him.

Sacrifice for sin was not something God wanted or desired when He created humanity, but because of disobedience and rebellion it was something that God found necessary to implement (for whatever reason). Even Cain and Abel were making sacrifices to God, before the Mosaic Law was put in place, but it was Abel's blood sacrifice and not Cain's sacrifice (produce he brought forth from the ground) that God found acceptable. I don't claim to know the mind of God on this matter, but He is the one who set the precedent in the Mosaic Law and finished it with His own Son on the cross, thereby creating a New Covenant.

I don't know the exact verse, but in Genesis, God told Adam the wages for his disobedience was death.

Isaiah 53 it talks about the price that will be paid for us.

While in the spirit, David wrote Psalms 22. Yeshua quotes this as he is dying.

Seeker,
I have read your questions and received your last email a couple of days ago. I, myself, feel as though you are confused with how you express yourself. I prayed to God to tell me how I might reply to you, to give me some that you might benefit from. This is what he gave me.
Matthew 7:1-5
2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12
The Holy Spirit instructed me to give you this:
1 Timothy 6: 3-5

And told me to say this:
"But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word ..." 2 Corinthians 4:2
"I warm everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from this words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Revelation 22: 18-19
"For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud arrogant, abusive disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having ther appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all as was that of those two men." 2 Timothy 3: 1-9
The Bridegroom keeps Peace with His bride. Anyone within the Body that does not follow this IS NOT a part of Christ. Be careful where your feet tread for it is not wise to stir up tension within the Lord's people. He sees all and knows all, and His hand is mighty to those whom He smites. Pray to the Father and Son that your spirit might be free from the one that has hold over you now. He is not worthy of you and the evil ones grasp is strong. Only God can free you. Not his arrogance and pride. Be free from this sin, my brother. And you will know God.
2 Corinthians 4: 4

Forgive me Seeker, but this was what I was told to say. It's your message from the Lord. Please, do not discard it. I pray that you can see through the devil's disguise and through your own conceit. I pray that your confusion is replaced with the real Truth. And that any Christians who are glamorized by Satan's trickery through you are saved and spared by the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 4: 6

God Bless you lost lamb.
