BROWN SUGAR CREAM PIE

2 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. flour
1 c. whipping cream
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked

Mix sugar and flour in 2 quart saucepan. Mix 1 cup cream and the egg in a small bowl; stir into sugar mixture. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved, 3 to 5 minutes. Bake pie crust at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Increase temperature to 400 degrees (take crust out of oven before increasing temperature). Pour filling into crust and top with pastry cut out, brush with melted butter, return to oven and bake about 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, mine is one that will never return.

My Grandmother's homemade Apple Pie.

I say homemade, meaning everything made from scratch, even down to making the crust with Flour and water, then using the rolling pin to make the crust.

Homemade, because Grandma took the freshest apples and sliced them by hand, added the brown sugar and other ingredients, then spooned the Apple slices into the pie pan.

Homemade, because Grandma then took the left-over crust, cut it into strips, then hand-laid the strips diagonally across each other.

Homemade, because when I was only "knee-high" to her, she always made enough of the apple slices ingredients so that I could savor that "never to be forgotten" homemade taste and the best ingredient, "Grandma's love," that went into each fresh-baked Apple Pie she made.

LOL, sounds like you might like pie!
I like pumpkin best, but I don't think there's a pie I've met that I didn't like!
Please, don't anybody introduce me to Oyster Pie, though I'd have to change that sentence :-P!
