I have a teacher. She is a young lady with a husband overseas. When she told us this at the beginning of the school year my thought was "That sucks, he shouldn't be there." but as the days passed on, this sympathetic emotion slowly faded into the background of other forgotten issues like Darfur, Poverty, & Global Warming that I had thought I cared about.

One day I started to think about the morality of wars and her comment had sprung back to life again. As I reflected on the past month of school, I realized that she always has great enthusiasm and energy when teaching. You'd almost think that her level of security is that of a small child. I was troubled. How on earth can she get up each morning with such an attitude knowing that her Husband may not return home? This possibility saddens greatly me. However, within it grew a deep respect for her and the amazing courage she posses. She inspires me. It taught me to appreciate the job that both of them do a lot more. Thank you all.

Each of us must reach the answers to your inquiries on our own! No one can give us firm answers that are relevant to us! I am a Viet Nam vet who was drafted in 1968 at the height of the build up! My brother was drafted on the same day! We went because we believed in America, and what it stood for! Not the politics, not profit mongers, not the corporate promises of a brighter future! But, because we saw this country as a great opportunity for all those who came here LEGALLY seeking a better life! We felt we had to give back for the blessings we had received!! Also, our belief that a better world awaits us! That we are here to experience, and learn, for a greater life later!! God bless you! Keep asking these questions, Look before you leap! Some day you will see the truth!!! The fog will lift, and you will begin to see what is real, and what is fake!!!

My husband is in Iraq right now. I take one day at a time and think of our future together. My husband was out for 2 and 1/2 years and was recalled from the IRR, he left on our anniversary. So what keeps me going. I must stay strong and positive for him if he knows I am upset or worried it may cost him his life. No matter what the sun will rise and it will set each day and life is what you make it. This is the path that God has chosen for us and I intend to follow it.

My husband is overseas right now. Everyday I miss him and love him. Yes he may die over there, but this is the job he chose. I think he's courageous and I respect him for doing this. I used to be in the army myself, so I know what it takes to do that job. It takes alot out of you. He's my man, I can't wait for him to come back home to me and our kids.

Mine is currently in Iraq and the only thing that keeps me going is the thought of his return. That's all I try to focus on, his return. There are good days, and bad days, but I must believe he will return.

Life is all that matters. Even in the face of danger, one can still survive if death is not yet the destiny of a person.
