these are coincidental, there was no plan... human beings are beings of pattern, we see and recognize things out of instinct, even when they are not really there. you can find patterns like this everywhere if you look hard enough (that is, if you convince yourself of their existence). even if they were what you (and others claim) what is the problem? the symbols are not pagan, satanic of freemason, they are symbols - many of them used in christianity too.
to some other responses:
* glad that "Bush is not..." is so much more elightened than the rest of us, but what is he doing with that enlightenment??? spreadhing peace/love/truth or just mongering hate and dissection?
* why it is unfortunate our country was founded by Freemasons? if not for them you would not have many of the liberties, or luxuries you have today, including freedom of speech and electricity, that allow you to say these things
* interesting argument piercedg...
* Me, Too ---- nothing like just telling everyone out there you are just another one of the "sheeple" that follow's along whichever way the wind blows....it is easy to judge Jefferson (not a mason by the way) or anyone throughout history from your modern "enlightened" position, but what is wrong in the world today that you are actually doing something about rather than just believing you are better than all those that have come before? you do make a good point on studying the architecture of each building...

Yes.
As a matter of fact, the USA's first name, Columbia (which you can find old hymns to columbia in early Patriotic books) is designated as a goddess, much as Britania is the goddess of great Britain. The Statue of Liberty is the same goddess, which the students at Tienamen Square called the "Goddess of Liberty."
Many of the founding fathers were freemasons. Freemasonry utilizes the language of Greek and Egyptian paganism to describe the universe.
All this being said, I don't think this proves the founding fathers and America is pagan, or even that 19th century Poets writing Lyric Poems to the Goddess Venus and the God Apollon were pagan. But Pagan god names definitely have a psychological power that can explain many things to people in quick, right brain, way.

Not this one again! No I was not aware because there isn't any. I have seen many films, sites, and books which say this but if you look even closer you will see that these "symbols" are not complete and if you take any grid system with linking streets you can make lots of shapes appear. Even Christian ones!
The web site you have linked to here is one of many which say they know the truth about the masons but what about the many more web sites which demonstrate the good that Freemasons really do? To give a reasoned argument you need to explore both sides not just be bias to one. I suggest you do that!

It is a common fallacy that the Founding Fathers were devout Christians. One of them was a minister. The others were a mixture of beliefs, all Christian, some Deist, but certainly not "devout." Some of them were funloving old scalawags and even Thomas Jefferson, the most intelligent of them all, was not above dallying with his slave, having several children by her. To his credit, he did grant them their freedom at his death. It is known that Jefferson disapproved of anything religious in government.
The symbols of pagan gods in Washington, D.C. have no real meaning. Freemasonry symbols have been used in architectural design for years. Our architecture reflected classic designs used in Europe and in Britain. The White House itself was originally designed by an Irish architect. It was rebuilt after burning in the War of l812.
When the Founding Fathers worked on a Constitution, etc., for our country, Washington D.C. streets were a just a muddy morass and the buildings were crude structures. The buildings have been erected throughout the passing years and in modern times, many contemporary buildings have been erected.
To study the architecture of D.C., one would have to research each building, the city planners, the architects, the builders. I would imagine they followed the architectural designs of whatever era they were built and I doubt if our various politicians had much to do with architectural design OR paganism.

It is south of New York on the east coast of America. Went to both New York and Washington DC last year and even some Americans in New York didn't know where their capital city was!

Fides ( Trust ) is one of the 7 cardinal virtues, her temple was in Rome on capotoline hill, the highest of the 7 hills of Rome. Look for her in your capital and you will find her all over. Now fides the goddess is heathen not of God,so why is she all over your capital city ? The masons are a cult they teach salvation without Jesus, they need to be exposed for what they are.I will say one more thing, have you ever found anything on the internet about masons that dont stink of the devil ?

Don't know about satanic symbolism, but, since most of the founding fathers of this nation were devout Christians AND Freemasons, I shouldn't be surprised to see symbols of BOTH kinds on our money and public buildings.
Old news. Get on with finding OTHER conspiracies.

I'm aware and don't care in any way what so ever. Who cares, it means nothing. It only means something if you let it.
Find something else to do with your time. Talk about drama, just digging for something to stir up.
BTW, this isn't a military question, it's a religious/political statement.

The pagan influence is the one redeeming feature of that den of stupidity. The one beacon of hope for a better future that hearkens to a better past.

I am aware of most of those symbols.
Although, I can see many shapes in many items.
Always keep an open mind though.
