maybe they are letting you know that they are ready to go out

my cat usually jumps on top of me when she wants me to open the door of the room to go out to the living room. If I ignore her, she jumps on me until she gets my attention

Well there may be two reasons:

1.) What time do you feed your rabbits? If you feed them around 7am or a little after that, then that may be part of the reason. Rabbits will normally run around the cage right before their normal feeding time. It's kind of their way of begging for food.

2.) Rabbits are normally most active in the early morning or night. Rabbits mainly eat at night or the early morning. If you ever watch wild rabbits, take notice when you normally see them hopping around. It will be the early morning. Deer and many other animals are the same way.

Be careful about letting them roam for too long or unsupervised. I've seen it happen a number of times where a person gave the rabbit too large of a pen or let their rabbit run loose too much then turned mean or scared when they tried picking it up. If the rabbit is handled a lot that reduces the chance of something like that happening. It's sort of like turning an animal loose into the wild and not expecting it to turn slightly wild after its been in the wild for a while.

They definitely want to get out and get some exercise. Once every other day is not enough and they should get at least 2 hours a day supervised exercise. In the evening would be better than in the morning anyway as rabbits are more active in the evening. Try it as rabbit need mental and physical stimulation like most mammals do. Good luck

They are binkying.
That is a completely normal thing for them to do.
Rabbits mostly do that when they wake or when they are getting tired or even just because they feel like it.
My rabbits do it all the time.
They are like my alarm clock because i have to get up around 6:30 and at that time they are all banging from jumping and running around in their cages.
Once again don't worry, they are fine and they are having HEAPS of fun while jumping and running around.

Hope i helped. : )

Since you go to school and you probably get up at the same time everyday.. maybe its a reaction to you waking up every morning and that they want attention
My cat ALWAYS gets up when my boyfriend gets up to go to work and bothers him the whole time hes getting dressed. She'll even YEOW when he goes in the bathroom and closes the door behind him. Its just her way of begging for attention - and he gives it to her.
He lets her play with his shoe strings while hes tying his shoes ;)
Then after he leaves she yeows for a good 3 minutes or so because she's sad that he left

Its cute, really

Try maybe a portable play pen or foldable pen for them.
Seems they need more time out and are going "stir crazy" in the cooped cage.
