To avatar with no name down below: I currently have an ace bandage on my right hand which really makes it hard to type. And my mind races fatster than my hands do.

No.

The government doesn't really care if you think the voices aree real or not.

There is actually a lot of controversy about the term schizophrenia. To begin with, it was used as a catch all term for a number of different mental illnesses. This is why we know have things like the DSM IV to be a guide on how to diagnose mental illness in a standardized world.

On top of this, people with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses sometimes suffer from paranoia. I do mean suffer.

Regardless of the controversy surrounding the word, there is clearly a too large group of people who have suffered from this illness. There is much research into the nature of this illness. There are many case studies. You might consider reading the novels of Kurt Vonegut, who often adds aspects of his suffering of schizophrenia into his work. You might consider seeing the movie "A Beautiful Mind" which is a biography of another famous case.

In part. It was conceived to make certain that those with "dangerous" ideas were not taken seriously. If it were beleived that they were somehow mentally unbalanced then even if their ideas made sense or if they were speaking the truth, no one would listen to them because they were labeled with some sort of contrived mental illness.

Lol, sorry I cannot help myself….no, it was made up to convince us that they did not put LSD in our drinking water…its so funny cause I had a friend who used to say this all the time. (Which was funny because he said it like it was a bad thing even though he practically lived on acid and shrooms.)

Do you mean their "voices" are real? Because if that's what you're trying to say then let me tell you a story about a man in my state who took his children to a factory and locked them in the furnace where they died. He said, "god told me to do it."

Schizophrenia has nothing to do with the way you speak.
Perhaps you are thinking of ventriloquism

The term didn't originate with the government.

But paranoia did.
