I have a 2000 ford taurus with 125000 miles. Someone told me that the average life span of a ford taurus was 130,000... sooo I was just wondering how many miles do you have or had on your ford taurus before it died.

My Mothers last 2 cars and her current car have all been a Ford Taurus. The first one was totaled the second had 135,000 miles on it and had no problems. It was given to my Niece for her first car. And my Moms current car has 67,000 miles and I never heard her complain about it. Hope this helps.

My 1996 ford taurus GL got to 320,000km on its origional engine before it blew up. Replaced the engine and now its at 350,000. Passed down through 3 generations of my family, first car of at least two teenagers. I was so pleased with the taurus I recently bought another 2003 ford taurus SEL wagon as my second car.

that is extremely impossible to predict how long a motor vehicle will final. they're like people. they are able to pass at every time. Even interior the comparable 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and sort. they're all distinctive. I somewhat have considered jalopies final a life-time and heard of particularly some sort-new vehicles that blew the engine as quickly because of the fact the hot proprietor pulls it off the lot. With vehicles, you pay you cash and you're taking your opportunities yet you mostly wish for the perfect. Dig?? that is beneficial to seem up the e book value for the vehicle the two on the internet or elseware. basically a concept. ;)

We had a 86 Taurus that has passed through 3 generations of family. The last I heard it had 240K on it and was still running strong. Daughter finally sold it to a friend of her husbands family.

I bet this car still runs. How about that? Lol. There only slightly less reliable than toyota and honda. That whole 130,000 miles for an american car rumor is a load of bull.

I've seen them run harder than that.... seen a few at 150k and one at 192k miles... all depends on how you keep it up.. since it's a cheaper car most don't take care of it and the first neglected thing is coolant which does the most damage on these cars.
The other thing has been the transmissions but haven't seen them on those as I have head gaskets on the other ones due to neglect mainly.
