How could we spiritually progress while in God's presence? All we knew was good. This experience is to see how we do and what type of decisions we make when we're apart from God.

My church believes that when the war in Heaven occurred, that we, humans, sided with God. We believe God has a physical body and that is why He created us in His image. In order as like a "reward" for sticking with Him, He gave us the greatest gift He could.

Also, we believe that when we were up in Heaven we were happy and peaceful, but we didn't know what happiness and peace were. So God sent us to Earth and put a veil over us so we could not see the supernatural world and would have to walk by faith to come back to Him, so we would make our own choice to go back to Him...not just "well He's there...we see Him...we should do what He said" we do it because we WANT to do it...not because we have to...

We didn't have a body there. We wanted to come here, get a body and be tested. After this life and the resurrection we will have a spirit and body forever.

We chose to come to LEARN. that's what all mortal lives are about. We chose to come here to learn and we are predestined to either pass or fail this lesson.

There is no freewill here. Only your will before you were alive.
