I want to be remembered as someone who had a heart full of love, made a difference in the world and whose soul is now free to join the infinite Source.
Then I want to be buried directly in the ground, no embalming, no coffin, no burning of fossil fuels to cremate me. I want to give my body back to the earth to nourish the soil.
I would also prefer that my loved ones had a celebration to remember me and to let me go.

I'd rather that speakers focus on my life, rather than speculate on my death. However, if anyone actually understands my beliefs, a few humorous comments would be appropriate.
I want a reading from Johnny and the Dead by Terry Pratchett. And someone needs to show up dressed as Death.

I don't want a funeral. Everyone who knows me, already knows my feelings about death. I have prepared personal letters to be given to each of my friends and family in the event of my demise. I think this is much more meaningful than wasting a lot of money on an embalming, funeral parlor, casket, hearse, and headstone.

First, I don't want a funeral, I want a celebration party. Those who choose to celebrate my life can do so, those who are happy I'm gone won't have to fake being sad.
I'm an atheist. That's how I want to be described. Technically I suppose I'm an agnostic, because I know that logically you can't prove a universal negative, but few comprehend the difference and I'm not quibbling over what I consider a miniscule possibility.

Don't care. Don't care what kind of service, or, even, what they do with the body. They can stuff it and use it as a planter for all I care...I'll be done with it, and either in oblivion, or somewhere else...and in either case, I don't care what anyone does at my funeral.
Hell, the only reason I'll sort of be there, is, i don't know of any way to get out of attending.

Granted I'm not real thrilled with what the do in the other option either, but anymore I'm leaning more away from burial and funeral...

I am planning to DEMAND that formal dress wear and total drunkenness will be strictly observed.... That done, nothing else matters to me at all.
( FYI - The first rehearsal for the funeral will be held next Tuesday. Those interested in attending should contact my secretary through the main office.)

I want a Chicago funeral; throw me out of a moving car and let the city pick up the tab.

I could care less what they say because I will be dead!! Why would I care?..LOL
Now if I HAD to choose something i would have them talk about my life. Not my afterlife. funerals are not for the dead, they are so that the people left behind can grieve in a healthy way...the end
