My puppy is about 4.5 months old and she is an outside dog, but not will keep her inside at night because its cold and wet. When we brought her home she was about 8 weeks and we kept her in the house for about 3 days and then afterwards we put her outside as a guard dog. I am planning to keep the puppy inside more often now just not night. how can house train her. I dont need to potty train her cause i will usually make a schedule and take her outside when its time. If that does not work i can train her. How can i train her to behave and not be hyper at home? I want her to just feel relax and chill with my family.

Before I answer anything, answer me this:

What the hell is your dog guarding by being stuck out in the yard? Do you move your furniture and belongings out to the yard at night? Your dog being outside doesn't do you one bit of good to protect your things inside.

an 8 week old pup will not guard your property yet. Get to know the dog by living with it, that means let it inside, let it become part of the family. By all means keep the dog out at night but make sure it has shelter from the weather.Attend obedience training immediately with your GSD.Daily training at home with what you will learn at classes will make your dog relax and chill with you.Remember you shape their personality by the way you treat it !!

the best thing leave the dog in the house and the barking inside will keep people from breaking in.leaving a puppy outside is a bad thing because they are a pack animal and bond with your family , But being outside is cruel to the dog as they want to be with you , not on a chain. If you want a dog to be a good family dog keep it inside and you will have a dog that won't attack people for no reason. you have an insurance problem with an outside dog because if it were to bite somebody you could lose your house if your sued for a dog bite

When she runs, she needs you to chase her. I fully grasp that you simply ought to given that of the avenue, however you are most effective encouraging the conduct. Practicing in an enclosed again backyard (which I desire you've got) is the exceptional approach to educate her. You ought to educate her to return whilst known as so that you could name her clear of risk and she will get the concentration she needs. Work together with her, supply her treats whilst she comes. A clicker is well additionally, given that it really works as a bridge among the movement and the deal with. My exceptional notion for the grime is to spray anything on it that she does not like. Apple sour is a well candidate. Puppies are going to chunk, however to support quit her from biting humans, simply keep her muzzle close at any time when she does it. Their muzzles are very touchy correct approximately the nostril and only a small quantity of stress will discourage them. I do not feel you'll be able to quit her from barking, it is kinda common. The principal factor is to simply no longer gift her for the conduct. So if she barks, do not move puppy her to make her quit or yell at her or something... Just permit her get worn out of it.

You put her out at 8 weeks of age for a guard dog? Shame on you. GSD are great dogs, but they need the proper training to be a good pet. Get her into an obedience class, get her vaccinations and I hope you have her on heartworm prevention and flea control, and please don't forget the most important thing, have her spayed.
