These questions are for everyone to think about without spreading judgement or criticism. I am not perfect nor am I better than any of you, but these are some questions that bothers me as a christian and should bother you too. I ran across something to today that brought all these thoughts to mind again.
Why do most American Christians look at God's grace as being cheap compared to other countries?
Why do most say that because we are "free by God's grace" that we are allowed to do whatever we want?
When someone is deeply following God , some believe the person is "over doing" it because they aren't watching certain movies and studying the bible more?
Should a person continue practicing lawlessness just because they are free? Just because Jesus died for our sins, should we continue to nail him to the cross again and again and again?
Shouldn't Matthew 7:21 be considered and looked at always?
Why is that when a person studies the bible, stop certain activities, renew their mind and spirit and become devoted they are considered "radical christians" in the states, but people overseas who become christians despite their countries belief, risk persecution each and everyday for their faith?
If the US is built on christian beliefs and principles, why is there every effort in the book to stop the use of talking about our Heavenly Father whenever and wherever we go?
Questions for thought......

One of the greatest concerns on my heart for today's church is what is "emerging" out of it.
Many are changing God's word into the word of men.
It is changing this generation, along with some other powerful influences, to not only question God, to question the validity of His Word, but to also do away with the concept that there are moral absolutes.
I am a Bible purist. I believe the word of God is inspired, inerrant, God breathed, and is our instruction book. I believe
that if what someone is teaching doesn't line up with God's word it's not of God.
This is something I will not waver on
in any form.
There are moral absolutes, and there is a right and wrong.
For He will render to each one according to his deeds.
Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good
seek for glory, honor and immortality,
But to those who are self-seeking and do not OBEY
the truth, but obey unrighteousness - indignation and wrath,
tribulation and anguish.

It sounds like you are more than a little disheartened at the questions you get about your faith from Christians and non-Christians. My heart goes out to you but I am encouraged at the opportunity you have gotten to minister to others. As for personal advice, I must remind myself that the actions of others will never justify some of my less than edifying thoughts/comments about them... God changes hearts and we get to see the impact and sometimes feel the birthpains as a new life in Christ emergages.

Because , while most religions venerate some sort of god image, some religions do not. For simplicity and respect for everyone, it is best to avoid including religious devotions in public places, especially schools. Religious practices are very personal, and the houses of worship and the individual family is where these individual philosophies belong.

That was just an excuse to try to get customers for your particular breed of religion.
I think that's against TOCs but you don't care because you're only doing what you imagine your invisible friend is telling you to do.
You are convinced you are above the law because you are stark-raving mad.
Seek help.

When you look out into the sea of humanity, what do you see? You see your-SELF. If you can you change, the world can change.
*NOTE* - We inhabit a post-scientific world?!??...is that person joking? Science is just getting started. In five years we will double our knowledge + learn more than in all of human history. I can't wait to see what advancements lie just around the corner!

You are not alone in your thinking, But as God spoke to Elijah, " I have left Me seven thousand in Israel, all knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him." Some burdens are more difficult to bear than others. Remember that. Stay Strong.

christians in other parts of the world generally don't whine about how "persecuted" they are. This sad martyr complex/neurosis, while not uniquely American, is certainly most prevalent in America.

To gain eternal life, we need both grace and works. A Christian author, C. S. Lewis, compared grace and works to the blades of a pair of scissors. Both are necessary. To ask “Are you saved by grace or works?” is like asking “Do you cut with this blade or that one?”
