Or even better they record a prophecy that has already come to pass.
This is like me saying now "Back in 1980 my dad said that George Bush Jr would be president. So he must be a prophet."
Yeah right. Anyone got any biblical prophecies that:
predict events after the bible was written?
and
Are not so vague they could apply to almost any age.
Edit:
Witness - The events recorded were written down with the prediction in mind. Written down about 60 years after the events were alleged to have happened.
Just like Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the city of David. But historians now say that this story of having to go to Bethlehem for a census is utter rubbish.
It was written in that way to bring Jesus in line with the OT predictions of the Messiah. It never actually happened.

Prophesies ? Man,have we heard about prophesies.
Yet there seems to be merit to some. Your right, how many have not come true.
How many have had mans interpretation?
I have seen things come about through intuition that I have followed through with by following my intuition that is so spectacular there is no explanation.
I ask the question=do prophesies come about through asking the right questions in prayer?
Ask God how to pray with all your heart and see what happens. (I highly suggest this for a reason)
I do not question prophesies of the Bible. I question man kinds interpretations at times.
By asking God how to pray, I have been shown what you call-statistical probabilities-so far out that statistical probabilities can not exist. Not one chance in a trillion billion trillion umtillion. Because I have been shown the imposable, I do not question prophesies exist.

If you look in Matthew you will see how Herod the King asked his wise men where the child Jesus was to be born. And they found the answer by looking into scripture. The people in those cultures did that in that day. It was common practice.
So when Christ was here he told them in John 5:39 "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me," Jesus was talking about the prophetic scriptures.
And in Luke 24:25-27 "25He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26Did not the Christ[b] have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. "
Below is just one cite that parallels the Old Testament prophecies with the life of Jesus Christ.

In the New Testament, it tells us that the word was spoken by God to prophets, consequently we have the Bible which is the inspired Word of God. Jesus, through His Holy Spirit, speaks to us today. In the Old Testament, before Jesus, God spoke to His prophets and they wrote down what He spoke to them.
Before Jesus was born, people would kill animals and their blood was smeared on the altar for atonement or forgiveness of their sins. The high priest was the only one allowed to go into the "Holy of Holies" as they called it. But, when Jesus died, all sacrifice was done away with, and He made a way for all of us to communicate directly with the Father. We don't need so-called prophets today to speak to us what God wants us to know, we have direct communication to Him because of what Jesus did on the cross.

Hey, you know, if you are going to be so obtuse about it, why even talk about it?
You made up your mind that nothing can convince you. So if you know what you are talking about, then okay, you excuse some prophecies as being probable, and others as being unbelievable. No problem!
Now you can be sure that you are right about everything, and go on to what is going to give you some payback. There's obviously nothing that will impress you about Christianity, so why worry about it?

God's plan of salvation, including the story of Jesus, was foretold by the prophets in the Old Testament. When the prophecies came true, people still doubted. Even 2000 years later, people doubt.
I will pray for you.

Read Daniel. The prophesy of Jesus going to the cross was prophesied TO THE EXACT DAY! No pal, you cannot do that on your own. Go do some more homework on this before you vomit out more facts that you HAVE NO CLUE about.!

If every other fulfilled prophecy doesn't convince you, I hope these end time prophecies, when they happen very soon, will: Damascus is destroyed, a horde of islamic nations and russia attack Israel and are defeated, there is a seven year peace treaty between Israel and the middle eastern nations, one world government/religion, new Jewish temple is built, etc.

Some people will cling to anything to justify their SELF RIGHTEOUSness.
hehehe as to YOUR prophesies---there are always groups starting based on someone saying something.
Ecc 1:9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

Abrahamic scholars actually use this system:
Write down everything that several prophets say. If one of them happens to be right, then believe everything else he says..
