I'm an Atheist, but I think Vonnegut was one the wisest people who lived in our century. I mean, Jesus inspired this huge following and he didn't seem half as wise or talented as Kurt.
Just read some of these quotes and you can understand what I mean:

So what do you think, good idea or not?

A whole religion was created around quotes by L. Ron Hubbard about an alien named Xenu, and they're making about a gazillion dollars.

At least Vonnegut isn't spewing insane nonsense.

Go for it...

......... Scientology, a religion that was made up by a science fiction writer who reportedly made it up on a bar bet and is reputed to have said "If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion.", is somehow able to gain converts (including famous ones) and make tons of money.

So you'd probably have a chance of succeeding. And it would make more sense than scientology too.....

Go ahead, not that I'd agree that what you were doing was a good thing, but good luck, you need to probably compose a book with a little contradictions in it as possible, otherwise people will pull it to pieces.

Sure, why not? Then we can form a religion based on the teachings of Chuck Norris.

No, you shouldn't, and it's not a good idea. You obviously don't know much about Vonnegut.

Why not? I think Harrison Bergeron would be a good basis.

Or then again, maybe not.

since it is based on a human, and not a deity, it would be considered a cult and not a religion, otherwise, go for it
