Yes for a few reasons :

1. The CO2 produced from war vehicles would decrease.
2. The money that were once used on war equipments and things of such, can now be spent on trying to end the Global Warming.
3. Without wars, the nations can communicate peacefully, therefore helping them cooperate in solving the Global Warming.

When wars stop all that production for war activities will stop and that will reduce a lot of pollution dont know about global warming though that may reduce too.
It will also reduce fuel consumption in war vehicles and planes, reduce human death and destruction overall good for humanity.

I think that wars would have some effect on global warming. but there is more pollution from factories/industries, car pollution, fires, cutting down trees and such. I would want to help reduce global warming.

it would help but only if everyone held hands and sang Cumbya then sat down and seriously discussed the kioto accord.

On the flip side expect wars to escalate. As the glaciers melt and the seas rise the available dry land shrinks but the number of people maintains everyone in an effected area has to move to higher ground increasing demand for resources and the fight for survival begins.

Not in the least. What would help is to stop china and india from becoming more industrilized, and stop briton from burning sulfur laced coal, and stop south america from burning an area the size of rhode island everyday, etc etc etc... War doesn't have a whole hell of a lot to do with it. Unless they are using nukes.

That's a good question. The responses show how out of touch the USA is from the rest of humanity, and how little significance Americans attach to that fact.

Besides nuclear weapons, here's the other thing they understand.

Utopianists, it isn't going to happen, ever...as long as there are humans alive. Wars will happen just as certain as the rain. Sorry to break it to you.

Our civilization would still emit as much CO2, just for peaceful purposes.
