Everybody here expressed their concern from different points of view, about losing 1 pound a day. I fully agree with all these good people. Eating only 1000 calories a day is possible if you weigh only 100 to 120 lbs. Your body needs about 10 to 12 calories per pound to maintain it's metabolic rate. I don't know how much you weigh but that gives you some idea of how many calories you need to eat without feeling weak.
Once you feel healthy and strong the rest is up to you as to how much exercise you want to do without damaging your muscle. Since 1 pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories, You have to do a lo----t of exercise. I found jogging, running, speed running all burn a bunch of calories. For example, if you run at about 10mph, you can burn 1000 calories in 1 hour. But always listen to your body before you damage or pull your muscle. If you can run every day, even though running about 3 days a week is more realistic, practical, and safe.
I think you need to allow yourself more time, stop thinking
"1 pound a day" and start thinking "1 to 2 hours of running a day" and then let it take as many days as your body needs to lose 10 pounds. Dont push too much if you want permanent results. Good Luck.

losing 1 pound per day is a really bad idea no matter how you do it. Im a wrestler so I know about quick weightloss. You really shouldnt be losing more than 2-3% of your body weight per week and even thats pushing it. No matter for what reason youre losing weight you shouldnt be losing that much and you should definitely not be eating 1000 calories. If youre going for looking good keep up the excersise and eat more, a lot more like at least 2500. if youre losing 950 you should be buring a considerable amount of fat while gaining muscle. by depriving yourself of energy and doing that much excersise
your just damging your body and making yourself feel really crappy the next day. the only time to ever eat less than 1500 calories is on what I liek to call "halo" days where the most active part of my body are my thumbs

One pound of fat equals to 3,500 calories. It's hard to lose one pound a day because, unless you were eating more than 3,500 cal. a day, you can't go less than 1,000-1,200. A better way may be to lose one pound a week. 3,500cal/7days=500cal. a day.
If you decide to lose one pound a week, cut out 500 calories a day or exercise more.
Is 1,000 calories enough for you? Unless you do minimal exercise, that is not enough energy (that's not even enough for me to get through the day!!)
Good luck!

-1 pound = a net loss of 3500 calories
-1 lb per day = a really bad idea
Losing weight is great, but not at the expense of your health.

rapid weight loss results in nothing but the loss of water as stored nutrients are metabolized. the body does not go from a state of fat storage to a state of accelerated fat loss, it's one of the most basic biological functions. if you want to lose fat and keep it off you must take time and do it slow and steady or you will lose just as much muscle as you do fat.

how long did you do this for? i really think that you lost a lot of water weight. yes, you loose pounds quickly but your body is really in bad shape. dizziness.. blah, blah, blah... try loosing 2 pounds a week. that is what the norm is. cut back on sugar and fast food, white bread and just alot of starches. you'll be good. also drink tons of water.
